The reason your guild is in default is because you are spending more than you are earning. Some of the likely causes include 1) lazy members who aren't regularly donating and 2) having more expansions in your guild hall than you can afford. I'm guessing you're suffering from both problems. Since your guild hall probably isn't fancy enough to be attracting members by that factor alone, you should remove the expansions to save money. Then, if your members aren't donating enough, crack down on them. Line up the record of guild donations (with the Guild Record, of course) with the active members, and crack the whip on the members who have been active but haven't been donating.

As a rule of thumb, I don't donate to guilds that aren't mine, but I *certainly* won't donate to a guild that's too lazy to support itself. Get your finances in order before asking for donations.
