Brute jellies will be in the slime family, and like all other slimes it will do piercing damage. It's blue, and it is shaped like a sphere with a darker nucleus in the middle. It's normal attack consists of two parts:
1: It lurches forward and attacks like any other jelly.

2: It consecutively slams forward a little farther, but this time it can cause stun.

It's special will be like the quicksilver's

It bobs up and down, to show that it's about to unleash it's special, then bounces everywhere like the quicksilver, but it causes stun instead.

Tier 1: It's shaped like a sphere, and only has the 2-hit normal Attack.

Tier 2: It's a sphere with 2 rounded spike protrusions on the side, has the 2-hit normal Attack AND the special.

Tier 3: It's a sphere with round protrusions in the formation of a sphere around 2 large spikes on the side. It has the 2-hit normal Attack AND the special AND on the second hit of it's normal attack it causes sleep instead.

What do you guys think?

All jellies are (and were) cubes.

Doesn't this enemy that you're describing already exist?

Like this?

Or this?

Granted slooms are no longer in the game.

Mr-Hexen, there's a soul jelly, but I don't think that's what he's trying to suggest.

Soul Jelly: Spherical slime with blue gel and a skull as a nucleus.

Brute Jelly: Spherical Slime with blue gel with a dark blue nucleus that will have spikes in later tiers.

They are similar.

@Little-Juances

Soul Jellies are called jellies, but are part of the lichen family, so I don't know what to say. c(:

@Severage

Sorry, when I was posting my comment, your comment wasn't there, but I finished, and it was there.

Epically face palming here.

What you are suggesting is something that exists. You might not kno this but Hubert, the pet jelly cube the knights have, was despised and tamed, but he is a brute jelly.

I think you meant "despiked"; "despised" means "hated." But that's no big deal.

I'm pretty sure Hubert is an Ice Cube, though. Don't believe me? Take a fire weapon or vial to a Freeze Jelly level and set an Ice Cube on fire.

As far as the Brute Jelly goes, I guess it works; its attack is basically a Quicksilver minus Shock plus Double Attack.

EDIT: Just noticed the Sleep. That's likely not happening, since unfortunately fixing it doesn't seem to be a priority; however, replacing it with Stun should work.

Damn u autocorrect!

I did mean despiked but I have autocorrect. At first it did look like Hubert was an ice jelly that was thawed but I remembered my screenshots of him. So I compared a pic of thawed ice jelly I screenshoted, I think that's a word, and compared the two. They were different shades of blue. I believe Hubert is a brute jelly studying from these pics.

Derp.

The jelly was either for killing it in the game or you eat it instead. Trust me, eating green and purple jellies taste like fruit. Mhmm

Brute Jelly: Spherical Slime with blue gel with a dark blue nucleus that will have spikes in later tiers.

Yeah, that pretty much already exists

well...

Basically, I think he's just trying to suggest a slime family monster that corresponds to the existing armor set "Brute jelly mail/helm"

I kind of agree with this, seeing as ice queen, royal jelly, rock jelly, quicksilver, and normal jelly(nowaii!) already exist as both monsters and armor sets. Brute jellies would just be ... well.. brutes! More agressive and fast, but more careless.
