Ok. So I've been hearing stuff about Grey Owlite Shield and Crest of Almire being the ultimate shields in FSC. Of course, they both have that unnecessary shock resistance for it, which I find useful in Roarmulus Twins. In all my adventures so far into FSC, I see more Vogs and Divines than any other armor used.
This is my super power set in FSC, which I can easily say it is most convenient.
Grey Feather Mantle + Hood
- With these two combination I can walk through fire while being burn for 3-5 seconds, which only a half of health is deducted. With it's high elemental defense, it is ideal against Vana's attack as well, though Volcanic Plate works better against his normal attacks.
Crest of Almire
- A shield that protects me from the slow slags and trojans. Nothing else in FSC does shadow damage. Probably the ONLY fire/shadow shield in the game.
Volcanic Plate
-The toughest out of these armor. Note that it's elemental defense is significantly weaker than Grey Feather Set.
Vog
-I'd prefer damage bonus or CTR over ASI (Especially since slags are slow enough), but overall it has good defense but not as good as the ones above.
Divine
-No Normal Defense. Additional Curse resistance and replacement shadow defense. Good armor against Rovers and everything else that DOES NOT do normal damage. Really REALLY weak against Trojan Smash and Vana's Bash. It's my favorite up against howlitzers though.
Angelic Sets
-Not recommended for FSC, except Fallen Armor. These armor offer too much penalty.
Dragon Scale
-I use to use Dragon Scale Shield all the time. It was an amazing shield, and it's the only one I rely on in missions where there are elemental monsters. It's the ONLY Elemental/Poison Shield, but sadly it lacks that normal defense (which I'm not really concerned in T3)
Almirian Crusader
-I don't know how it's like the other way around. (Almirian Set and Grey Owlite Shield)
I rely more on defense rather than offense. The only offensive armor set I have is Chaos and Valk.
So you want resists to just about everything in FSC.
Just take a look at Basil at the KoA lobby.
It's the best you can get.
