EDIT: Based on other posts around the forums, I'm guessing this is safe, but I'm still not entirely sure.

I'm new to the forums, and have only just recently started playing the game again, and have a question about whether or not the following would violate the terms of service.

I was going to start a thread in "Suggestions" about the possibility of being able to play as a Gremlin (don't worry, I'm actually putting some actual thought/effort into this idea, unlike some other users who have suggested it), and I had the idea to use a screenshot of a retextured thwacker as an example. I have an old copy of the game on my computer from the pre-Steam days, which I stopped using ever since I combined my SK and Steam accounts. I also have a model viewer, which I've been using to get a closer look at certain NPCs and items.

I was wondering if retexturing said thwacker, even for the simple purpose of a demonstration, in a copy of Spiral Knights I haven't used for well over a year, would be a violation of the TOS. If not, should I even bother posting it? Again, I'm kind of new to the community, so some actual, sincere help would be appreciated.

AFAIK No.

Many people post such things. see treasure vault for examples.

Thank you! :)

Thanks for the help! Now to get to work on the thread I mentioned. Don't expect it anytime soon. I have lots of things to work on, including lots of widely varying combinations of colors and textures...
