Heya there! Styrka here.

It's been a little while, hasn't it? I've been racking up crowns to craft 5 star armor soon.

Soon.

But, in the meantime, I have to wonder...what are the worst status' to look out for? Now, I know the general idea -- Fire sucks, Freeze sucks, Shock sucks...but what of some of the more obscure ones? Should I bother with Curse status, or does it just not show up enough? And what about Sleep? The mighty Tortodoze shall soon be upon us!! Has anyone dealt with Sleep status before?

Anywho, let me know and thanks for the tips!

(I am thinking of mixed bombastic/volcanic demo for freeze and fire and because I don't need MAX CTR.)

Extra weapon slots are a more effective defense against curse than any armor, unless you're wearing the Black Kat Cowl, the curse malus on which is enough to lock all your stuff.

CTR should be maxed because every point is more valuable than the last. A half a second reduction in charge time is a bigger percentage of your total when your bombs take 2 seconds to charge instead of 3. Even the jump from Ultra to Max feels significant.

The only status you should bother worrying about is shock.

And fire. Fire and shock. The other ones aren't worth resisting.

In terms of Player Vs.

In terms of Player Vs. Player, shock is by far the worst.. Followed by Freeze. Dont need to worry much about other status', curse can be avoided by changed weapons and only has a low chance of happening either way. No sleep status' exist soo thats worthless until sleep status weapons come out, but yeah. Pretty much just shock and freeze in PvP, Fire in PvE.

@Tin-Foil-Hat

Who says fire isn't important? Not only do I use the VoF charge to break from Shiver locks, but I also ignite Skolvers, ehem, CANDLES with it. I love to see them die two seconds after killing me. :P

FOV is a STRONG UV effect

FOV is a STRONG UV effect which means the status effect is unavoidable no matter how much status resistance you have, if you get hit by the full FOV charge youre going to be dead either way. You arent killing them with the UV, youre killing them with the direct hits.

Freeze is nothing on a good party. It depends on style.

Depends.

In Blast Network, you have to watch out for Stun. Stun is the most dangerous BN status. (It's the ONLY one.)

In Lockdown, Freeze and Shock reign supreme- which is why you have super cheap Skolvers with Max Shock that resist both. Freeze is worse for swordies and gunners than it is for bombers (though it's certainly no walk in the park even for bombers) since their attacks don't require turning; bombers have more trouble with Shock, because all they have are charge attacks and Shock interrupts those a lot.

Stun is no joke, either- it slows you down quite a bit and makes you an easy target for Polaris, which will then Shock you; Shock and Stun combined will make you an easy target. And even Poison can be effective- have you seen Zeddy's Venom-Guardian setup? Crazy.

In PvE... well it really depends. Fire is just all-around nasty, Freeze can lock you in place while Devilites mow you down with snowballs, and Shock is nasty too, completely stopping your actions often when that isn't a good thing. Poison isn't as dangerous as the other three, but it could kill you; your attack is knocked way down and you can't use hearts. Poison's particularly dangerous in tandem with Fire (see also: Compound 42) as you keep taking damage and can't heal it back.

Stun and Shock are also nasty in tandem; you run slow and attack slow, while being interrupted every other second. This makes Electreants the most dangerous type of Lumber, in my opinion; if they hit you once and you don't use a Remedy, it's game over. As for Curse, it's the most dangerous of them all or the least dangerous, depending on how many weapons you have, what you're fighting, and what weapons get cursed. If a Phantom curses you and your Acheron and Graviton get cursed, but you still have a Divine Avenger, you're probably OK; if your Divine Avenger, Blitz Needle, and Remedy Capsule get cursed, and your only weapons are Shadow Weapons (or you don't have weapon slots), you had better start running.

All in all, every status can screw you over. Except sleep. I don't think the Tortodoze is coming out.

Yet.

Well...

Shock and Freeze are the two most annoying stats.

Shock forces you into shielding, thus not attacking for a bit. Worst condition for soloer to be in. Greavers use this condition the best (continuous attacks + mist + shock screws your shield over).

Freeze renders you useless as a swordie or a gunner. Bombers with AoA might escape in time.

Sleep...

Okay, think of sleep as Freeze without the chance to block or attack. Now make that a stackable condition. Now slap that onto Greavers, Zombs, Fiends, and Tortodrones. That's why they removed it.

The papaya giggles

Screw all of the statuses XD (unless you play PvP a lot) Just get a full Chaos set and beat the papaya out of the monsters before they can inflict anything on you :P This works for me :P (kinda XD)
