While I don't know the guy either, he was an excellent artist and made quite a bit of SK art that I liked, so you'll understand my feelings of bereavement. Really, if you don't care, then just keep your canned reactions to yourself.

I...actually thought this was a troll thread. Yeah, sorry about that. It's just that so many people quit for stupid reasons, and the fact that he practically tells everyone to never mention/draw SK ever again isn't helping my opinion of this. But admittedly losing anyone from SK is a bit sad. Especially if the were good additions to the community.

Something inside the game hit him hard, let's say it's quite obvious what it was, or maybe something else/or at his end.
I don't just love Ark's SK artworks, but his own characters work, especially Sakray. (i know i dig a lot of hunky dragons) I'm not sure what has happened too but if it has to be a slient goodbye, let him go...
If ye would, try and somehow stay comfortable for yerself, and maybe chat a little sometime-- he's quite handicapped and talented.

I'm not acquainted with him, as I said, so I wouldn't know what that would be. I simply follow him.

Yes, I do like his art, but one of the main reasons I was attracted to Spiral Knights was because of the aesthetic. That, combined with the skill is rather striking.
I don't wish to make an issue out of this. I respect his decision and all that. I just thought this was sad, is all.
