Bombing Guide

You've read the Bombing Guide on the wiki, I hope. It's much better than the Swordmaster and Gunslinger Guides. The Volcanic Demo set is nice, but consider also Chaos. Why are you equipping two vortex bombs?!

For the same reason one might equip Combuster and Acheron. Contrary to popular belief, Vortex is a perfectly capable damage bomb.

Despite that, you could be making better use of them. Consider throwing an Ash of Agni or a Voltaic Tempest in there to some damage that isn't affected by bomb damage bonus.

if you let the vortices collapse

It's true that the vortex bombs do decent damage, if you let them collapse. But they also have nasty knockback. I guess that if you're solo, then the knockback doesn't bother anyone, and if you're in a party, then your party is presumably exploiting your vortices, and everyone is happy.

By the way, is Electron Vortex's charge movement speed as pitifully slow as Graviton Vortex's? If I had to move that slowly whenever I wanted to attack a monster, I might flip out.

Electron vortex is really nice for everything, provided they can't escape/are not effected by shock so much. The shock keeps them from being knocked out, and that they are squished together keeps them in place until they die of shock/weak explosions. You move slowly, but this isn't such a problem when The enemies are stuck in a clump being shocked to death.

Electron and Graviton have the same movement penalty. The bomb would be horrendously OP (moreso than currently) if that wasn't the case.

Graviton's knockback is no zero concern if you have max CTR. The suction of your next bomb will keep your enemies from spreading at all as long as you plant them close enough to eachother.

Two vortex bombs seems slightly redundant... I'd prefer to substitute one of them for a Dark Briar Barrage or Nitronome, some other damage bomb that operates in a different fashion with less movement penalty whilst charging. Otherwise Greavers and stuff. Might also want to consider a haze bomb of some kind, too, and possibly a shard bomb to combo with vortices. The rest of your loadout looks good, although you might want to consider Mad Bomber (or Chaos) if you're more damage than support oriented.

Okay okay okay. sorry wall of text

I wouldnt exactly call myself a Pro.... but I could call myself a Veteran bomber. Supposedly.

Now, here's my advice to you: Before you finalize a bomb loadout, think... "What role do I aim to fulfill?" In short, there are 4 basic roles as a bomber.
1)Damage (You wanna blow stuff to bits)
2)Crowd Control (You help your team manage large crowds of mobs)
3)Status Distribution (You inflict mobs with powerful status effects)
4)Crowd Positioning (You are the man with the plan, and you can sort things out)

Now, these are just the base possibilities, take good consideration towards each in order to choose an enjoyable role. Now, where the magic comes in, is when you mix these roles. With the help of weapon slot upgrades, you can even be a hybrid of all 4 if you so choose.

Take note that, until upgraded to 5 Star, bombs lack a bit in the functionality department. As bombs only have a charge attack, it drastically improves over each upgrade. As far as equipment, I'll list down the valid {weapons} and [armor] that corresponds to each role.

Damage: [Mad Bomber, Bombastic] {Nitronome, Shard Bombs, Dark Retribution, Dark Briar Barrage, Ash of Agni}
Crowd Control: [Volcanic Demo, Mad Bomber, Mercurial Demo] {Irontech Destroyer, Nitronome, Shard Bombs, Vortex Bombs, Dark Briar Barrage, Venom Veiller, Shivermist Buster, Voltaic Tempest, Stagger Storm, Dark Retribution}
Status Distribution: [Volcanic Demo, Mad Bomber] {Shivermist Buster, Ash of Agni, Venom Veiller, Voltaic Tempest, Stagger Storm, Shocking Salt Bomb, Scintillating Sun Shards, Electron Vortex}
Crowd Positioning: [Volcanic Demo, Mercurial Demo] {Vortex Bombs, Big Angry Bomb, Irontech Destroyer, Shivermist Buster}

I hope you enjoy bombing, and take a good look at what functions different bombs have to offer!

Your bomb-happy party supporter,
~Diamondshreddie

@Everyone

Thanks for your help,everyone! I would like to ask which bombs are the best ones for use with solo and with party team.
I don't think I have any problem with the armor.

If you're solo, you can do everything with Nitronome. In a party, people generally appreciate non-knockback bombs such as Dark Briar Barrage, Dark Retribution, Electron Vortex and Venom Veiler.

Venom Veiler in particular is especially helpful whenever you're fighting gremlin menders and silkwings. Not only will it stop the healing, but it'll make gremlin menders kill everyone for you.

Or just charge up your Acheron bomb and let it rip for faster results.

yes.. yes it is true. I just got confirmation.

Glacius, combuster and Acheron are unidirectional bombs.

@Xutak

A very defining feature for bombs is that they're fun. Acheron is boring so Acheron is not a bomb.

A very defining feature of fun is that it is an individual's perspective and not the thing itself.
