I have been playing T2 LD as a bomber lately and was wondering what bombs would be the best to use in general. (I don't use weapon upgrade slots) My current bombs are: Super Blast bomb, Twisted Spine cone, Freezing Vaporizer MKII, Fiery Vaporizer (soon to be MKII) and i am trying to get the Shocking Vaporizer at the moment as well.
Which bomb should I use for T2 LD?
Thank you for helping me understand the bombs and there useage. But I do have another question; Why is the Fiery Vaporizer MKII not usefull compared to the other two status bombs? Is the damage from the fire not signifigant enough to matter? Also isn't. the lack of fire resistance make it worth while seeing as almost none use fire def UV' s and the only three fire restitant armors/helms are Magic set, scale set , Blazebreak set.EDIT:stupid "smart"phone screwing me up!XD
It's better to just shock/freeze/stun the enemy to interrupt him, then finish him off with a sword than to wait for the sloooow fire.

Players never take damage from thaw, in Lockdown or the clockworks.

The fire damage is pretty much negligable, the only thing it's good for is messing with Recons (you monster.)
Freezing Vaporizer is my bomb of choice when playing T2 Recon, because it's great for trapping corridors, covering your escape, makes it more likely for you to survive when you get swarmed while backcapping alone, and the freeze duration is usually long enough to deathmark someone, then hit them with a charge attack. Lightning Capacitor is better in group vs group fights, which makes it more appealing for Guardians.
I always go recon when i bomb and i use 2 Bombs and I like to inflict most damage a possible to Strikers because I HATE there guts with a passion but thank you for the advice

Noone in T2 Lockdown use jelly mail. Against a wolver, spine cone does more damage than blast bomb.
That being said, I'd still rather have blast's knockback.
Doubt it Zeddy, there's at least a decent/fair number of Brute Jellies around.
The haze bombs are good: Stun, Freeze and Shock for support. Fire damage in tier two is nowhere as good as Ash of Agni in tier three, so unless you are using it as support with swords or the like, leave it.
I personally use blast bomb because it mostly works against everything. Spine cone however can deal more damage, especially against people who use oddball equipment, such as magic set.
Shocking Vaporizer.
Shock is one of the most popular trouble and I say,the most annoying.Not only it deals damage,recons can be found and also helping you on.
I think,Twisted Cone is good,but many people go Dusker,so,better keep shocking.
Stun and Freeze...they may powerful,but target can still get away/attack.
Freeze is more helpful than Stun,so why not trying combining Shock and Freeze?

Not really, when shock ticks and breaks the ice, the enemy will be interrupted and unable to move, due to said shock spasm, thus allowing freeze to re-trigger without problems. At most, they may move 1 step before getting trapped again and again.
Unless you have Max CTR and are constantly spamming, and flawlessly alternating between, Lightning Cap and Freezing Vap, the Freezy cloud is going to dissipate pretty quick and they won't get refrozen.
Recon gives max ctr already. And of course you'll spam as a bomber on T2. No one falls for the small radius of a single vaporizer.

What if I Android looking to be Android offensive bomber to counter strikers? That was my intended goal after all to beat strikers. Any suggestions there?
There's no real magic weapon that's going to allow you to kill every Striker you meet. Depending on the map, you can take advantage of terrain - in Furnace, for instance, I like to capture the point near the enemy's base, then start planting freeze bombs in the corridor just above it, which tends to trap Strikers who carelessly dash out of their base toward the point. Facility, on the other hand, is the most Striker-friendly map in the game, and it's very difficult to do anything about them even with a sword or gun.
If you want to make a point of using only bombs, try to force enemies to deal with you in the areas where bombs are strongest: around control points, in areas that can be blocked off with haze, or in the midst of huge brawls where you're difficult to focus on.
I will keep all of it in mind! I started bombing in LD to try and counter strikers but in this unbalanced game it must be impossible. :/
As a regular T2 bomber, let me be the first to welcome you to the club! I don't see enough of us around LD in general.
Everyone here gave good advice. But since you're looking into offensive options, the super blast bomb and the twisted spine cone are hands down the best options. Don't even consider shard bombs, they just plain suck for LD.
Since the super blast bomb has a good amount of knockback, it is relatively safe to use without any supporting haze bombs. There is a special technique that's a bit hard to describe through text, and I have been meaning to upload a video of it for a while now. Maybe I'll do that today. But basically, when you plant one blast bomb and start charging another, make sure you step outside of the radius of the planted bomb AWAY from your opponent. When you have charged up the bomb again, plant it where you planted your previous bomb. But due to the unpredicatibility of the knockback, be ready to change where you plant the bomb. But ALWAYS keep a detonating bomb radius between you and your opponent. This technique works on about 80% of strikers that do not carry a gun with them.
For the twisted spine cone, it's a bit different. Since it doesn't have any noticable knockback, a typical striker can consistently keep damaging you before you can damage him or her. To remedy this, alternate between planting a movement slowing haze bomb (such as freeze, shock, or stun) and the TSC. The TSC will do more damage PER BLAST on almost everyone in LD (except for those wearing jelly or quicksilver), but will do less damage per second overall.
Personally, I'd go with a super blast bomb. Now, if they made an elemental radius bomb or shadow radius bomb with knockback, I'd be the happiest bomber alive...

Are Vortex bombs a resionable option? How about others bombs?
3* vortex bombs are pretty garbage. Vortex bombs are hard enough to use in Lockdown at 5*, and strikers can boost right out of them while guardians are immune to their effects.
Why? Shock resistance is pretty rare in T2 LD, as only the Elemental and Surge Breaker sets are the only shock resisting armors. UV's are not too common in T2 LD either. Then use either the DR MKII, the SRH, or any other damage weapon. I will not recommend the 3* brandishes as those are not very good in 3* form compared to other swords. Alchemers are very usefull in 3* form (having been stuck with a Prismatech MKII for a year), making them a good damage (support?) gun.
@Ninja-Gyles: Why not? Its not quite as bad of a 3 star bomb as you might think. If you haven't used it, then you can't really say its bad, can you?

From what I understand it is identical the blast with worse damage. Am I wrong? The blast bomb line is hard enough to use in LD do I need to make it harder on myself?
I could be wrong but it seems like deconstructor might actually have more range than Super Blast Bomb. Again, I could be wrong.

I too originally thought that the Deconstructor had more range than the Super Blast. However when I crafted a Decon, I was disappointed to find that they had identical range.

Yes, the Deconstructor has less damage than the super blast bomb except against constructs. And unless you really hate that frost gun puppy in Avenue or you really like the way it looks, you shouldn't get Decon.

-zero CC or utility whatsoever (exceptions being you can immobilize a shielded guardian, like with all mist bombs, and the fire ticks will break a cloaked recon's shield)
-quite fine damage
=> this is okay if you're a pro who has no need for CC, and whose team is also comprised of pros who have no need for CC...
generally not recommended.
Freezing Vaporizer Mk II
-excellent excellent CC
-usually zero damage because who lets thaw happen ever
=> Better for a support-ish role I suppose if you can constantly spam it. No one is immune (unless they have insane UVs and trinkets I think but I'm not sure it's possible even then), unlike T3 because the freeze res on Dusker is significantly lesser than that on Skolver.
This is also exceptional for just paralyzing a group of enemies, they never die and neither do you C:
Lightning Capacitor / Shocking Vaporizer Mk II
-Decent CC
-shock spasms remove invincibility frames
-fair damage that's not resisted by a sizeable portion of your opponents
=> Better for a hybrid support-offensive role. Note, the fact that shock spasms have sometimes a fair amount of time between them means that you will need to be able to avoid the sword strikes that are not interrupted. Superb superb bomb overall given the damage and very unique quality of removing invinciframes, and the ability to interrupt attacks that is not offered by freezing vap or anything else.
My personal opinion:
Super Blast Bomb > Lightning Cap > Freezing Vap > Fiery Vap > Twisted Spine Cone
You're best off with Lightning Cap and Super Blast Bomb (ofc you may very well substitute Lightning Cap with Freezing MkII if that's the sort of niche you're looking to fill). This setup works very well for me as a guardian bomber (As such my analyses of other bombs mayyyy be slightly flawed), especially seeing as the Super Blast Bomb can be used for defensive utility when shields are down.
