PvP is a toughie. On one hand, Voltaic Tempest is the second best when it works. But loads of people have shock UVs on their wolver coats for this exact reason. On the other hand, most people don't bother with poison resistance, and as such, Venom Veiler will let you take a lot of damage and deal some extra, too. Stagger Storm is alright. I don't really like it for PvP, myself.

for PvE
I'm not sure whether you include PvE or not, as you said "general use". For PvE, they're all useful.
* Ash of Agni: great damage against crowds.
* Voltaic Tempest: nice balance of crowd control and damage. If the monsters are tightly crowded, can outdamage Ash of Agni. Like freeze, shock can hinder knockback, shield-bumping, kiting, etc.
* Stagger Storm: underused. When the monsters are stunned, I kind of feel sorry for them. They are so easy.
* Venom Veiler: underused. Great in a party, for speeding things up, especially when healers are present.

What else do people do in SK these days? Maybe an occasional Jelly Run, but thats basically it.

I mainly run the Arcade, looking for danger rooms and lucrative Basil recipes. (That's why I find all of the "nobody plays the Arcade anymore" threads irritating. If you want to play the Arcade, then go ahead!) I also do the danger missions pretty often. I don't do Firestorm Citadel much anymore, because...after a few hundred times, it gets dull.

I actually PLAY THE REST OF THE GAME, and HAVE FUN, not just spam the same mission over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over.
And Bopp, one of the reasons people complain is because playing the arcade ALONE is annoying. Not because they personally can't go to the arcade.
