As every weapon in the game has:
L5 - CTR low
L10 - CTR medium
Seeing as the brandish lines have powerful charges, why not change atleast the cautery sword to this:
L3 - CTR low
L5 - CTR medium
L8 - CTR high
L10 - CTR very high
This doesn't have to be done for the Cautery sword, but it would certainly make it better and more people would use it.
I would love to see you explain to me on how the Cautery Sword is OP xP

Not entirely a bad idea, but... Even with that, cautery will still be shunned. And please explain what would happen to a cautery CTR VH?
The blasts would deal more damage much quicker without any trinkets or armor bonuses.
Instead of giving it better CTR as an ability, just increase it's base charging speed so it can be boosted even further.
MAKE THE SWORD BETTER AGAINST SLIMES THAN NIGHTBLADE. >.<
The sword is meant to just be there the fact that it CAN kill things in the first place makes it go above and beyond thus OP.
Or we could point the finger at Leviathan and make Cautery a normal dealing Brandish with CTR MAX+3 and each regular swing having chance of healing the enemy? And of course upgrades till 5*.
That slime murdering sword is OP as it is!
