As you may guess I'm having loads of trouble deciding what my loadout should be. Therefore I'm asking you guys for help. First of all I love status effects, and charge attacks. I like to have a good shield that can take some hits. I really fislike negative status resistances. I dont want to be another skolver clone but I dont need to be soo unique. I also like kiting and almost always go in a party however would still sorta like to be able to solo. Any loadout advice you could give me! Thanks!

PS The vog coat syands out to me as well as the fang of vog

Get a combuster. CTR Sword trinket if you hate chaos set and didn't get ctr uv on your swords. I recommend to have few sword damage bonus though, at least med.
Your description sounds like a bomber to me. Ash of Agni (Fire Haze) and Voltaic Tempest (Shock Haze) combination can deplete enemies (which doesn't have the resistance) health fast, stagger storm is slow-motion effect, perfect for helping party members, electron vortex combined with strong AoE attack is also great. Get the volcanic bomber set if you hate chaos/mad bomber. Shield choices always comes around... depending on your theme runs. (Ex: best shield for C42 is dragon scale, best shield for heart of ice is dread skelly) Barbarous thorn shield, grey owlite and crest of almire are the most common ones. After playing for a while, when you may feel that you don't need to take hits at all, try swift strike buckler.

We went through all of this in your kiting loadout thread. You also have two threads about this "status master" idea. So I have two remarks:

A. Many loadouts work in Spiral Knights. You don't know the exact details until you try them, but they'll work in some situation at least. So, in your case, stop planning, and just start making one. You've thought enough; just pick one and do it.

B. Please do not make a bunch of similar threads in multiple forums. If you have one topic to discuss, then there should be just one thread for it, in the most appropriate forum.

Ok Bopp

I will be a bomber and stop making all these threads but one question... I love my Blazebrand especially its charge and most bombs. I have an ash tail coat and (almost) a heavy demo helm. Would It be better to save my coat for later and go for full bomber or be bomber/sword hybrid?

There are no "character classes" in Spiral Knights, such as Fighter, Magic-User, Cleric, Thief, etc. The closest thing we have is Sworder, Gunner, Bomber, Hybrid, etc. Your particular mix of weapons is really the big choice that you make. There is no right answer, and you can change your mind at any time.

I would say that pure Bomber is not the easiest class, especially if you play solo a lot. Unless you're a really experienced player, keeping a sword or gun around is a good idea.

Yes

Yes, that seems like a nice hybrid sworder/bomber load out. But one thing: Consider Barbarous Thorn Shield, to improve your offense a bit.

Ok ya I think I will do that! I will also probably get bomb and sword CTR trinkets but not sure. What trinkets do you think?

So far, you have ASI+2, CTR+2, and damage+2 on your swords. More of any of these would be nice. Combuster benefits a lot from CTR (its charge attack is better than its regular attack), while GF and FF benefit more from ASI (their regulars are better than their charges). Maybe just get a sword damage trinket. That benefits all of them.

Your bomb are not really damage bombs, so get a bomb CTR trinket, to achieve CTR+6 on your bombs.

Yes, Final Flourish does have a very strong charge. I use mine a fair amount, to kill beasts and silkwings (when they spawn) and trojans (after they dash).

But much more often I find myself using just the first stroke of the regular combo. This is how a typical Final Flourish user fights devilites and greavers. That's why I think that ASI is more important than CTR on a Final Flourish.

Since you love status

Since you love status effects, why not try out the vaporizer bomb series? The series has a bomb for each status besides curse. They don't deal much damage but they give monstors in the radius a status effect. Great for large crowds of monstors.
