A problem with a simple fix

Here's something I suffer from regularly:

Enter a T2 mission lobby, and find two other players waiting there. We chat for a while and then go and stand on the party pad. Under the "Progress down to the next level" screen, I notice once I've clicked the big blue button:

"Good luck, you'll need it"
"Bye"

They return to haven, leaving me to try to solo the roarmulus twins. This happens once every few days, and I don't even play that much.

I'll be suprised if this hasn't been mentioned on here before, but I haven't seen it. Anyway, This entire problem could be voided by removing the "return to Haven" button when starting a mission from the lobby.

To be honest, I've had to bail on parties before due to IRL problems. The only other option is just force-quiting the game instead, if you remove the "return to haven" button. It's more a convenience thing.

People who are enthralled in efficiency skip the boss because they don't get enough crowns out of it. I personally disagree, because Tokens are worth something, but that's what people do.

Skipping the boss is fair

Skipping the boss is fair enough, but this is right at the start, just conning you out of an elevator fee. Anyway, if you had to bail before a mission began you'd probably need to quit anyway.

Most of the time it's a few scabby 5* vets refusing to do missions unless you tab them to carry you.

Most of the time it's a few scabby 5* vets refusing to do missions unless you tab them TO CARRY YOU.

So you say that is a 5 star vets obligation to carry you?

The problem you see, is that is not their obligation to help you, and thats why they ask you for tab them for elevators, you said "Carry you" trought the level. they will do most of the work anyway while you follow them with doing less. sure it no happen all the time and not all the players are like that.

But my point its they dont want to spent their energy helping a player on a less profitable mission they prefer use that energy on King of Ashes mission. removing "return to haven" button from mission lobby isnt a solution it just will make things worse.

THE REAL SOLUTION its dont let players join missions that dont have unlocked yet. this mean a player with rank 5-1 CANT JOIN A King of Ashes MISSION until such player unlock said mission (and with cant join i mean they cannot join in mission lobby or while the mission its being played), on this way prolly you will find more group missions for Built for destroy. because players will grind always the most profitable mission.

Sure, sucks when nobody want to help i know but then again is not their obligation and if they want something in return well sucks but they want something in return for the help they will lend you.

Anyway you have another way to get help, make friends but hey that not mean friends that you just will talk when you need help, or once they login you send a party invitation (thats pretty annoying and its another reason why people dont want to help lately because sometimes people invite you without ask first). make friends and share time with them, and later they will gladly help you in your missions if you ask them nicely and if they arent doing something.

Also you can join a nice guild which help their members. some of these guilds post their Recruit annoucements with the rules to join on those guilds and most of these guilds really are nice and help their members. if you joined a guild which such invitation you got from nowhere even they dont talk to you to recruit you. its most likely that guild isnt interested on help their members and just gather a bunch of members for the sake of recruit.

Sad but its the truth.

:/

I see a chasmic gulf between unwillingness to help a newbie with that stuff for free, and going out of one's way to screw those newbies. I agree that no one's obligated to do anything helpful for any one else, but that's not highly relevant to a discussion of actively bothering to be cruel.

It's peculiar luck to run into jerks like that most of the time you try to clear missions, unless you're being a lot more obnoxious there than here, but I second Hope's recommendation to get to know some peops who tend to be in-game at the same time you are.

I just noticed that I don't know where on the wiki I can point peops to a handy collection of SK-specific etiquette, and it's not quite obvious enough for me to find on the main page, "new player briefing," or "community standards" pages. Am I missing something, or is the wiki missing it?

Random: I always ask the

Random: I always ask the lower star people to tab me when I help them, just for them to see that they're energy isn't going down by 10 extra per level because of me. I like being a tease.
