As a Linux user who absolutely adores this game and has spent more money on it than I care to mention I would really love to have a native version of it for the native Steam client. I know it's self serving as heck and really does nothing for most of the community, but I'm tired of having to have a separate Wine installation of Steam just so I can play SK and a few other games. Also, just recently my Steam overlay has failed to even launch with the game in Wine and I've been forced to give my account info to a trusted friend of mine on a WinPC just so I can get more CE...

Please devs, the game is written in Java. I'm no programmer, but it can't be that hard to make a Linux executable or even a bash script and distribute it over steam...

I'd love to hear other users opinions of this as well, non-Linux users feel free to berate me as well xD

There is literally no reason

There is literally no reason for there to not be a Steam for Linux hook for Spiral Knights. Then again, there's literally no reason for the new UI to be mandatory either. So it's not likely to happen unless a large portion of their Linux users spontaneously stop playing or something.

I think it's steam's fault. I mean, there is a linux client version of SK. I think.

You are experiencing a PICNIC ERROR!

This game works on Linux when not a Steam-bound account.

I've been waiting forever...I want to use the stuffs it has, including Steam Mask!

+1 even though I don't use it. Did OOO say there were problems getting this done, or something?
