I think that there should be a line of gauntlet shields. They would be transparent bands on a players arm that act like a shield. They would have high elemental resistance and there would be 3 lines anti fire anti freeze and anti shock. (They would be an extension of the already existing line of shields like the fire breaker frost breaker or shock breaker). Starting at 4 star.

Some possible names

Heat gauntlet
(4 star)

Cold gauntlet
(4 star)

Electric gauntlet
(4 star)

Fire gauntlet
(5 star)

Freeze gauntlet
(5 star)

Shock gauntlet
(5 star)

We are lacking freeze/shock piercing shield if you insist. But elemental and shadow types are already covered so it's redundant to add more of those.

Unfortunately the anti-shock and anti-fire lines are superseded by the Grey Owlite Shield, and to a lesser extent, the Heater shield is your elemental freeze shield (although it has more normal defense than elemental making it more of an effective melee shield rather than a bullet shield)

I wouldn't mind seeing these as reskins of current shields though, sold through Featured.

Keep thinking though, we have less shields than any other equipment.

Almirian Crest (Shock + Fire)
Skelly (Freeze + Poison)

Elemental
Heater (Freeze)
Owlite (Shock + Fire)
Dragon Scale (Poison + Fire) [Pierce++] [Normal--]

Piercing
Aegis [Redundantly similar to parallel shields]
Jelly (Stun + Sleep) [Pierce+]
Ironmight (Stun) [Normal+]
Dragon Scale (Poison + Fire) [Elemental++] [Normal--]

Other
Volcanic Plate (Stun + Fire) [Normal+]
Omega [Health+]
Ancient Plate (Stun) [Normal++]

And that's it. We need:

Shadow
Almirian should be changed to Curse + Fire to match the Armor
Shock (A shield with shock and shadow on its own would still be very useful since shock is the most feared status)

Elemental
Normal+ / Elemental+ (For lumbers / bullet protection) with possible Stun

Piercing
Ice Queen Shield (Freeze + Poison + Curse)
Quicksilver Shield (Shock)

We already have a (un)official shield for the quicksilver line, the Ironmight plate shield. Trust me, put them all on. The thing fits with it so well.

None the less I would not mind adding a official shield to the line just like the snarby.

What are you talking about? Since when does Ironmight Plate Shield defend against shock?
