obtaining tier 3 gear seems incredibly tedious is there a fast way of getting the required alchemy orbs or some other way of speeding up the process.

If you to Jelly King (tier 2 boss) a few times you can use the tokens you get to get some 3 star jelly gear from Brinks the npc token trader in the bazaar. Should be faster then crafting I think.

Sure there is a fast way
Here's what you do: buy a ton of energy using a credit card/paypal account. Trade with a player who has extra gear to unbind and sell. Equip the 5* gear. VOILA.

You just made my day.
In a way, he is correct. Energy used to be a lot more useful; but unbinding isn't worthwhile, per se. If you're going to pay to win, do it properly and pay OOO directly through the Supply Depot, all though this is frowned upon by many of the community.

This horrible heating system...
Reaching Tier 3 before was time consuming and tedious before, but now it's mind bogglingly annoying and slow as frozen molasses. Buying 5* gear from the Supply shop is now almost preferable to grinding for all the freaking fire crystals you'll need (60 shining fire crystals to be sure I can level up my master blast to level 8?!) for multiple pieces of gear/weapons.

Now that we don't have energy....
You can play as much as your heart desires :P But your saying "the fastest way" and the cheapest, faster way is to go for Cobalt Line, and once at 4 star, do Arcade runs to Firestorm Citadel, and try and get some friends and possibly guildmates to help you out. But seeing as you aren't T3 yet just play.... Gameplay and Patience are the 2 key elements to levelling up.
I don't really get what you are trying to say? Please make this more detailed and I can offer a few buts of advice.
