Now if for the sake of argument that everything for the revive system will be staying the same and no major changes, I wish to have this morphed. I actually think the way this all works out is just fine, but when you have any revive system out of a players hands it's just asking for trouble. Today for example I was in Vanaduke and I hadn't died yet and was just going around blitzing him and then as I'm running along fire lands on me and down I go from almost full hp to nothing and oh wait, I don't have time to type to my other party members, "help, need water" before i get auto-revived and then die again. I know this is just one example of times players get stuck somewhere, where if you just had a short timer for the auto-revive system it would solve most of that rubbish.

I'm just asking for something like a 25 or 30 second timer for when you die the first time in a depth you have a timer window pop up saying revive in "30 seconds" and then it starts counting down and right under it, it has a button saying "revive now" so you can choose to revive as soon or as long as you wish within that timer.

Okay now that makes sense. I got trapped by a Trojan. Had to wait for my friend to distract it before I could get up and walk out.

I'd rather choose when I want to use my emergency revive.

Already has a twist...

The twist is that you can't use it whenever you want, it seems to me that you're removing the twist.

Plus, everything I can think of that could trap and keep killing you has a reasonable way to avoid it, like not standing in the glowing spots or dashing out of the Trojan's path. Or, even further, simply fighting them in a way that causes them to choose other attacks.

Not really sure what you mean be "removing the twist." And yes there are set patterns for a lot of monsters and how they attack but the fact people still get stuck is still the same. Even someone like me who can avoid those things normally happens to me every ounce in a while and hence my idea would take care of that. Like I had said before, this idea wasn't trying to be "out of the box" but just a simple fix to the new change.
