And then reboot has came, so in order of waiting to server on I went to drink something.
I thought those are in-server changes, but suprisingly, when i clicked Log on it says i need to update game.
Ok, game automatically has reseted and started to update game. I downloanded it and game has turned off.
And then another suprise; steam has started downloanding it again. .___.

Normally is not problem, but with SK servers...

Updating sucks not only on

Updating sucks not only on steam.

It sucks with standalone client.

It sucks with kongregate client.

Several people, many people are reporting ridicolous update time like 2 hours for such simple patch. The display screen can show something like 200hours left for update. Also the update claims that "it can be stopped and resumed at any time". Unfortunatly its not true, if you close update it will start from beginning next time you open it.

And its like that since at least a year.

From what I've seen of OOO as of late, they seem to like releasing the wrong build; so it's possible Steam updated the game, and when you ran it the next time, it had to download it again as the build was different. In this case, it's OOO's fault.

That, or when you downloaded, Steam detected a corrupt/malformed file and re-acquired it; so you didn't download the whole game, just a bit of it (I think Steam notes it as "Updating", but it's not updating anything). In this case, it's Steam's fault.

@Asukalan:
The download waiting time is likely due to sub-par update servers having to deal with a massive load of requests. I've always updated (from Steam) a few hours after the patch is released, and I've never come across the issue. Sure, the servers could do with being better, but it's not an easy, or cheap, fix.

@Asukalan, Lol, i know, but it's not topic about speed, but f'n double downloading, what sucks 2x more that other clients.

@Rogue-Wolf, im not expert, but it has occured two times. I two times downloanded corrupted files? Rather no.
Steam just detected i have not downloanded update by it, but it does it too slow. In that way, when game knows im using steam and when steam know im using steam, updater should extort downloanding by steam too or at least some warining when im downloanding game, because wait time sucks and doubling it can really induce rage.
Also game is not adjusted for Steam, because it started downloanding by it's way, not steam.

Better will be deleting that whole steam updating [again], 'cuz it not changes anything it good way.
