--Intro

This is a long intro. If you wish, you may skip to "The Idea".

I'm no serious gamer. I simply love Spiral Knights. If you've checked the reviews for Spiral Knights, they're a bit mediocre. Don't mind them, they posted

that when there was just the Clockworks, Mist Energy/Elevator Fee, no PvP, no AH, no Battle Sprites etc. As a 2011 Spiral Knights player, I can definitely

say there is much to do in Spiral Knights now than there was before. I won't give examples, but let me start talking about the arsenal in Spiral Knights.

Spiral Knights has a wide variety of weapons to choose from. The game has melee, gun, and bomb. These 3 make an awesome group. Melee has its

advantages: Powerful close-ranged damage. Guns have their own advantage, safe distance shots with average damage rates. Bombs have their

advantages. They produce an area of effect where every enemy inside takes damage. Bombs are unique: Mist bombs produce low damage but nasty

status effects like poison, shock, fire, stun, freeze, and in the future, there may be sleep. There are knockback bombs like Nitronome. There are all sorts

of bombs. However, when I discovered the old shard bombs had such long distance shots, I fell in love with them. I always used them everywhere, and I

just loved using them in Lockdown. The wolver clones just ran into them, and even trollaris couldn't stand a chance. Sure, you'd get hit once in a while,

but using the older shard bombs was so much fun. Thanks to Three Rings, we now have a weak, shorter-ranged, generic newer shard bomb line, with

an ugly look to it. I mean, the 2* and 3* images look pretty ugly. An artifact in the middle with shards around it. Bleh.

I do have ideas to make these newer bombs better, and so that the looks can improve. I also have an idea to mix together the current shard bomb line

with the old shard bombs. Let's start with what I have to say.

--The Idea

I've been thinking for a while, instead of making Three Rings make a whole new bomb look with the same mechanic the older shard bombs had, why not

bring the old shard bombs "back"? No, literally. I don't think anybody has even thought of this idea.

--The Idea (Part 1: The mechanics idea itself)

What I have in mind is this. Be prepared for some "logical thinking", and i'll put the suggestion in steps:

1. = First is first. Out of all classes, bombs have the most "same" types. I mean, all the mist bombs have the same function, all the blast bombs

(including big angry bomb + irontech + deconstructor) have the same function. And now? OOO makes 5 different bombs with the same function. Heck,

even the Dark Matter bomb is a bit pointless. Why? The salt bomb completely tops it. It deals extra damage over slime. It also has a chance to induce

shock. So what do I have in mind? Here's the plan... Three Rings, please keep the following bombs how they are: ALL Crystal Bombs, ALL Splinter

Bombs, ALL Dark Matter Bombs, ALL shard bombs. Why not Sun Shards and Rock Salt Bombs? Did you notice that the Sun Shards are made of Splinter

Bombs and Rock Salt Bomb is made of Dark Matter Bomb? Their names are different, therefore they should be different. First of all, change the Sun

Shards back to elemental. Please Three Rings. Piercing for the Sun Shards? Sun Shards don't even sound like they should be piercing. Anyway, Three

Rings, use the OLD shard bomb mechanic and replace that with the following bombs: Sun Shards, Radiant Sun Shards, Scintillating Sun Shards, Rock

Salt Bomb, Ionized Salt Bomb, and Shocking Salt Bomb. Since these both were the older shard bombs and the others didn't even exist, and also that the

Sun Shards and Rock Salt Bomb require different bombs than their class, they should have a different mechanic. If you don't what the mechanic, here. I

won't even explain. (Old crystal Bomb Animation).

See that? Awesome. That is the mechanic that should be replaced with the Sun Shards + Rock Salt Bomb line.

--The Idea (Part 2: Damage)

Since the damage on the new shard bomb line is so low, Three Rings, buff them now. Not by a little, but not by too much. Also, for the older shard

bombs, if you're going to replace that old mechanic with Sun Shards + Rock Salt Bombs, lower the damage by a LITTLE. Please, a little so that they

aren't pointless, but not too op. Also, since the Rock Salt Bombs are shadow, make them weaker than the Sun Shards, but only by a pinch! Next, change

the Sun Shards line with elemental damage. As I said before, piercing is stupid. It doesn't match Sun Shards AT ALL.

Please change it back to elemental. Now for the status. Completely remove stun from the Sun Shards. It's pointless and we don't even need it. Also,

change the shock from the Rock Salt Bombs to "Slight Chance to cause Weak SHOCK". If spamming the Rock Salt Bomb in Lockdown with the current

shock state, it'll definitely be overpowered. As I said before, the newer damage for the "old mechanic" bombs should be lower than it was before, and

the "new mechanic" bombs should be buffed. Note that there are so many bombs that top our current bombs anyway... Keep ALL damage bonuses.

--The Idea (Part 3: Ignition Time)

If you've all known the old shard bombs, right when you put them down, they blow up so quickly. OOO, if you're going to re-implement the old shard

bombs with Sun Shard and Rock Salt Bomb class, then make the ignition time exactly the same as before. Also, KEEP the Charge Time Reduction the

same! That covers this section, now:

--The Idea (Part 4: The Looks)

The 2* and 3* bombs look ugly. Here's what I suggest: DISCARD all 2* images, and replace them with the 3* images. Please, they don't look "shiny" in

the Auction House. For all 3* bombs, use the 4* images. It'll look so much better. For all 4* images, use the current 4* images, but add some effects +

detail to it. For all 5* images, keep how it is, but add detail, or keep it the same.

--The Idea (Part 5: Overall)

TL;DR: Buff the new shard bombs, replace old shard bombs with all Sun Shards and Rock Salt Bombs, then weaken all Sun Shards

and Rock Salt Bombs less than before. Also, keep the Rock Salt Bombs a bit weaker than the Sun Shards. Change the way they look, and change status

a bit, and use the old Charge Time Reduction + Ignition Time, and you're done Three Rings!
