Each battle sprite seems to have an affinity for a type of crystal, for instance, Seraphynx prefers Luminite, Maskeraith prefers Dark Matter, and Drakon prefers Crimsonite. So what I propose is that two new battle sprites are introduced.

Howler, a wolver type creature oriented towards melee. It's preferred crystal is Valestone.

Pixiy, a playful, humanoid battle sprite with a tendency to trick and play with opponents. It likes Moonstone.

how bout, for a promotion maybe, an 'original' battle sprite that the biotechs have? They're my favorite, and i would love to have one.

If I recall correctly...

If I have heard right, they are going to add more battle sprites later on. The fact that battle sprites even got their very own category in the inventory screen seems to support that. The question isn't wether we're going to get new ones, but rather when. And to be frank, I'd rather wait and balance the current sprites out, seeing that some of the behavior between each of their power and even their upgrades seem to be very wonky.

Your suggestions I think seem to be lacking a bit of detail, maybe give a few more ideas about what their skills/special powers could be? i lik the name Howler for a beast-oriented Sprite though.

Here's the skills for the battle sprites...

Howler
A small, wolver-cub type creature w/ brown wings.
Bite, basic first skill. Reminiscent of the Wolver's basic move.
Bark, buffing skill that increases the damage your party does with any sword.
Claw Swipe, allows the battle sprite to sweep in front of you; has a minor chance of stunning.

Pixiy
A prismatic, glowing orb w/ butterfly wings.
Magic Bolt, a low damage bolt that travels a long distance harming anything in it's path.
Duplicate, creates a tangible duplicate of you that attracts monsters. Only lasts for a little while.
Elemental Burst, a small burst of energy surrounds you that can cause freeze, fire, poison, or shock.

Depending on the feedback, I might add more skills/details later.

What if you buff while using a gun? Is there another different skill for that? Maybe increased range on the attack or something.

By the way, you suggested a better wolver battle sprite than me. xD

Soo... It penetrates units? How fast does it travel? How far can it travel?

Duplicate:
What's the range to can cast it?

Elemental Burst:
Does it push enemies back or is it just a random blast? What is the range?

Overall, it is a great suggestion though.

In answer to your questions.....

Bark:
I see your point... I guess it will work on all weapon types.

Magic Bolt:
It travels slowly, about the speed of a polaris shot, and can travel up to about 5 squares on the basic form. It doesn't "penetrate units," per say, but it does keep going after hitting something.

Duplicate:
The duplicate looks like you, but with an almost blue tint, and spawns out of you, running the opposite direction that you are heading/facing. It does not attack, lasts about 5 seconds, and takes monsters' agro off of you, and onto it.

Elemental Burst:
It does not push enemies away, it simply causes an effect. It's range is about 2 squares around the knight, to start with.

Also, on ultimate versions, working on it, and it will come soon.

Well the Description of lumite says that it contains lots of knowledge so maybe a new battle sprite could be like a floating book that debuffs enemy's.

That is a different suggestion.

Anyways, it could be good, except that I think that the Howler could fall behind a little. Melee attacks can't really compare well against, say, the fire bolt of Drakon. Nonetheless, I'd like to see hoow thi turns out.

ideas for ultiment power suggestions

Howler:
Bite ultra 1: a chance of causeing a random status effect on the enemy
Bite ultra 2: makes a snarbolax like BTB charge that bites enemys with a bigger bite then normal BTB though
bark ultra 1: instead of just attack, it buffs everything (defense, attack, and speed)
bark ultra 2: also pushes enemys back when used and mabey even stun them
Claw swipe ultra 1: changes chance of stun to always, stun is set to strong
Claw swipe ultra 2: does a claw combo of 6 instead of only doing it once
agian, these are just Ideas for your ultra attacks, I'll do Pixiy ideas later

ok, here my suggestions for Pixiy ultra powers

Magic Bolt ultra 1: does random status effect on enemy
Magic Bolt ultra 2: explodes when ever it passes through a enemy, the bolt keeps going till disappears
Duplicate ultra 1: the duplicate now mirrors your movement (if you move left, the dulplicate moves right)
Duplicate ultra 2: it creates a duplicate of all the party members for some serious distraction
Elemental burst 1: knocks enemys across the screen 2
Elemental burst 2: now buffs all party members in the radious with attack boost

thats the rest of my suggestions for ultra powers, next will work on how they change
