I really wished the Azure Guardian Armor had personal coloured robes like all other armors have. It just feels so annoying that this colour like curses with almost every accessory.
The Azure Guardian Armor is my favourite armor but the minor thing I hate isn't that very minor. It completely lacks any personal colour.
The official uniform for Spiral Knights is the white, blue, yellow uniform the NPCs wear... Not the Azure Guardian Armor. tbh... The name itself doesn't even fit at all since it isn't coloured Azure.
Infernal Guardian Armor = Volcanic coloured, flame-like
Heavenly Guardian Armor = White coloured, heavenly/Divine like
Azure Guardian Armor = Purple. wat. Azure is a blue colour yet the armor is purple.
I don't know where you see purple in that armor.
besides, cobalt line, or a reskin of it, is worn by the 90% of the knights in heaven and mission. if I recollect correctly.
only yellow armor by NPCs I know is the recon knight's armor, which is specific to them.
The robes look purple to me honestly. Sure not pure purple I think more cardinal like. Still it's not Azure.

Azure refers to the bluish sheen on the armor itself, not the robes. As for official, it's the official special super strong important VIP knight armor. Vanguard armor.
...Is only seen on the feet and the head...
It's supposed to be the official uniform of spiral knights. Makes sense it's standard.
