Start making more Clockworks levels and then tell us about them

Not much to say beyond the title, really. Beyond missions (which are just rehashes of Clockworks levels anyway), OCH, and Compounds there hasn't been any new PvE content since launch. Veterans are getting antsy; when they get antsy, they leave and tell their friends to avoid this game like the plague.

This doesn't mean new monster families or themes. Heck, I'd be willing to put up with all the problems the return of Sleep would provide if it meant that Three Rings brought back Starlight Cradle. Just make more level layouts to cycle around in the Arcade. This lends both freshness to the arcade and freshness to any new missions, since the level designers will have more existing material to base missions on. It also makes the game more attractive to reviewers who have seen the game in the past.

For all I know, Three Rings is working on this right now. But we can't tell, because Three Rings never says anything about what they're working on until the last minute. The important thing is communication. Even something as simple as "We're working on adding more content; no guarantees" would probably be enough to stop an exodus of veteran players.

80/100. Don't worry about the

80/100.

Don't worry about the other 20, that's the automatic bonus people get on threads that criticize the Forge.

+1 I couldn't agree more.

I couldn't agree more. This was the reason I abandoned the game just under a year ago (I only came back for Battle Sprites and no more energy costs). It seems weird that we just go "hey, you made it to the core. We don't know what happened to that squad but you're a Vanguard now and we have nothing more for you to do". Even if they are working on it, we need to know more or get a screenies or something.

Let's see something all blobby where the Lichens/Jellies live (as opposed to a palace they just happened to take over), and things like that.

Meh.

I get the impression that their idea of new PvE content was the expansion (that you have to pay money for to buy). =\

Operation Crimson Hammer is

Operation Crimson Hammer is not really an expansion. It's one mission in 3 tier levels, that's all. Frankly it's not worth the money.

"New Levels" isn't really new content, it's just old content jumbled up and chucked into a new container.
I'll explain more later (I was planning on making a thread for it, looks like I'll be pushing those plans ahead of schedule)

@Hexzyle

You're giving the devs too much credit here. More families and themes would require extensive research and design to avoid breaking what precious little balance this game has. Adding more level layouts, on the other hand, is a relatively simple matter, and therefore much more likely to actually happen. Additionally, adding new gimmicks to existing themes would be an easy way to make the Arcade fresher.

I never said more families or themes.

More levels doesn't fix the issue of difficulty. Sure you can stick 15 mecha knights in an arena with 8 gun puppies, but often that's not harder, that's just dumber.
