There have been many threads on how to find orbs of alchemy. To find them, you might search Google for something like "orb site:forums.spiralknights.com". They all end up saying the same thing: Beyond the strata (which Glacies explained), we don't know much about orb drop rates. But orbs drop from treasure boxes, so you probably want to explore areas with lots of treasure boxes: treasure vaults, danger missions, danger rooms, arenas, etc. Good luck.

Wouldn't it be advanced in stratum 3-4 and elite on 4-5, with eternal in 5-6? Considering you need elites for 4* gear to get into stratum 5...

Where is party size in all of this? People forgot?
Increased party size upon entering a run also increases rates.

Axes of evil
If youre looking for glowing crystals and advanced orbs, try doing the first depth of axes of evil. The boxes there have a good chance of dropping advanced orbs. Or crystals. When uve finished with the level, dont stand on the eleveator. Open ur missions and start axes of evil again. You will have good luck atleast once. And REMEMBER to do it on elite.

Umm why are you needing to pull this up?
Do you have a question you need answering?
Flawed Orbs of Alchemy are more common on the second Strata. (Depth 4 - 7)
Simple Orbs of Alchemy are more common on the third Strata. (Depth 9 - 12)
Advanced Orbs of Alchemy are more common the fourth Strata (Depth 14 - 17)
Elite Orbs of Alchemy are more common on the fifth Strata (Depth 19 - 22)
Eternal Orbs of Alchemy are more common on the sixth Strata (Depth 24 - 27)
Also, try playing on a higher difficulty. The enemies may be stronger but there should be a higher chance of finding them. Or, buy them from Kozma with the crowns you've earned!
If you're after Advanced Orbs, try running something like Royal Jelly Palace. Just remember that the Orbs are VERY uncommon and you'll only most likely see one every 3-4 runs.
