That's a hard one. I'm not a fan of the piercing swords in general, but their charge attacks are fun to use. Brandishes have a boring combo, and their charge attacks are so easy to use with such high payoff that they're not even interesting. Fire and freeze are more fun statuses to play around with than shock so I suppose Voltedge?
The jelly guns are also close contenders, but sometimes I enjoy manual rapid-fire.
Vortex bombs, why? I hate how everyone keeps saying to get them instead of haze line bombs to me (I prefer to use VT over electron vortex). Hate how if I use a vortex bomb line, nobody charges their sword into the crowd (well that's why I use it, to let guns or swords be charged at the sucked in monstors.). I don't really like the slow movement speed and I can't get used to it. I just hate it.
Polaris&Co. I don't play Lockdown but people have a tendency to use it on my vortices and freeze hazes. Well, I should be glad it doesn't happen all the time.

I waste combuster charges since they send them away right when im in attack animation, or they send them out of range of the explosion line.
They blind the screen so i can't see what's going on.
They push an enemy into me right when it's in attack animation.
Sometimes makes my computer choppy due to the visual FX.
Shard bombs come in a second due to how hard it is to tell what's going on when they are spammed against multiple hostiles.
Shield bumps. They are a very lethal weapon. Specially when lumbers are involved :v

Because its only good when people that know how to use it are using it. And the game very deliberately gives the recipes to new players.
Most piercing weapons, of which there isn't a lot of. Mainly the swords, as I don't tend to use bombs, and the Callahan series is okay.
Polaris/Supernova. Makes me lag, too flashy, most annoying weapons in Lockdown (simply shuts down bombers and too easy to use).

My least favourite weapons are Combuster, Trollaris and WRH (WRH+AT=rage in LD). And finally, the answer: TROLLARIS-my least favourite weapon.
I know, I don't like them because Mad Bomber set guys spam the crap out of the screen. Stupid Nitros with CTR Max!.
They bear an absence of utility, only straight up damage here.
Having an alt as each of sword user/bomber/gun user, I do not like [incompetent] people spamming Pulsar lines, as it makes it impossible to hit anything at all.
Then I get kicked for not doing anything useful. Great.

I would say polaris too, but I own a Supernova for the explicit purpose of counterspamming in lockdown. And callahan....hard as &%#& to use in lockdown with 250 ms ping. But its just too fun.... D;
It has the most knockback on regular bullets, of any gun.
Why doesn't my Iron Slug do that?
It's good because of the Pure Elemental but the dash is just bad and the charge doesn't help either. I prefer the Leviathan Blade and Polaris over it
Magnus. I thought my stay-away-chicken nature would like it, but when I tried it I realized I wasted CE and crowns. Seriously, the new shard bombs are way better than this overnerfed tank thing.

Deals about 1/3 the damage of a 3* elemental brandish. Yes, it's only 2*... but it's damage is just pathetic! I really want it to work too, which just makes each clickity-clak of a swing fills me with a great disappointment and sadness.

My favorite gun (but the worst one in-game) is Iron Slug, and I'm closer than I ever will be to getting it. It would've been great if it got reworked or dramatically buffed like Nick said it would be around a year ago.
My least favorite, now, that's the thread's purpose after all, is probably the new shard bomb mechanics (never forget), and any combination of misused Levvy blade charges and blast bomb line spam.

But in terms of weapons it is a Silversap's giant fricking club arm of freezing death. You get frozen, when the luber goes for another smash from behind and you shield, it's like "Pfft, screw your shield" and breaks it in one shot, they freeze lock you in the worst way possible.....

So far I have a feeling some posters are answering first question (for example Zeddy) and some are answering the second one (almost all Nitrome/Polaris comments).
Answering first question (considering only weapons I have in arsenal and I had a chance to use), it would be Iron Slug. it's totally inefficient and there's zero fun factor in using it.
The Cold Iron Vanquisher has dull normal damage, and its one apparent upside, the high damage against undead, is easily beaten by a Voltedge, Combuster or Glacius.
Furthermore it looks ridiculous (twisting floating chains?), and in effect it is the 5* equivalent of the Cautery Sword (which is only used by the very inexperienced).
Fortunately, the Cold Iron Vanquisher seems quite unpopular, as I don't see it very often (I think I've seen 2 people with it, and I have a habit of inspecting everyone I meet).
CIV isn't a damage weapon. Don't pretend it is. Seriously. It looks great too, according to many many players, including myself.

As for my own opinion, I'd say BAB. You can ask Zeddy why.
Pulsar-line guns. As practical weapons they're way less efficent than good alchemer use in the vast majority of situations, not to mention they have a much steeper learning curve which is a terrible thing for a weapon so disruptive when used badly in a party scenario. The result is the best users of them really aren't doing much better than they would with other guns or bombs, meanwhile the bad users are god awful to deal with. Perhaps most importantly though on a personal level, I just don't find they're fun in the slightest. As guns they feel woefully weak and ineffecient; primarily being utility rather than damage dealing, but as utility weapons they're drastically inferior to bombs which not only achieve most of the same benefits, but are extremely satisfying to do so with.
I don't really like flourish type swords like the barb and flourish lines because they're only useful at taking out wolvers and chromalisks
Even though I still like them taking out slimes is torture to do. Ill use one if I ever get more than one weapon slot so I can switch it out when fighting slimes and junk but remember I still like them and think they're cool

Why would they? It's extremely powerful and relatively non-disruptive, it only doesn't see use because Blitz Needle is flat out broken and in need of nerfing, not because VPB is underpowered. I mean you may hate the 'bugfix' that took away that neat vacuum effect it used to have, but that's about it really.
