Sooo, few questions:

What are the uses for energy now that it got removed from crafting and elevators cost?

Is it hard to come across sparks of life? Somehow I got 80 of those.

I'm mainly a bomber and I picked up a ghost sprite thingie, did I choose the right one?

Any weapon rebalancing has been done? Last time I checked in shard bombs sucked big and Pulsar gun thingie, blitz and DA were overpowered as hell.

How can I get the alchemy orb thingies?

Keep in mind that I haven't been playing since halloween event, is there anything new that I didn't mention before that I should know of?

-You can still use energy to buy orbs and crystals to craft.
-Buy already made items from depot
-Revive (sparks)
-Trinket and weapon slots
-Energy gates
-Shadow Lairs
etc

I got 200 sparks, yet some complain they are still rare. Depends on your ability to stay alive.

Maskeraith is da best.

Balance on SK? nope. Well I think you left before the chaos set buff. Mad bomber is now useless. That's all.

Energy is still used for opening danger rooms and treasure rooms. You can also use it to buy orbs of alchemy. In fact, if you didn't find any orbs through missions or adventuring, then crafting would cost exactly as much energy as it used to.

You get a bunch of Sparks of Life from missions. You also find them occasionally in the Clockworks. Whether you spend them faster than you earn them depends on how often you revive. I am certainly accumulating them.

I'll let someone else advise you on battle sprites for bombers.

We don't know how long you've been away, so we don't know what balancing has been done since you've been gone. Consider reading the release notes on the wiki or in the Announcements forum. DA has not overpowered relative to the other elemental swords for at least a year. Last summer, damage numbers on guns and bombs were buffed about 15%.

You can buy orbs of alchemy with energy, or find them in the Clockworks. You should also have some from missions. Consider reading the wiki.

To find out what's new, read the release notes. It will give you a more reliable and thorough account of changes, than any forum thread will.

Thanks

@Juances: By chaos set you mean this? http://wiki.spiralknights.com/Chaos_Cowl
The CTR and dmg works for all kind of weapons? If that's so... well f**k.

@Bopp: I said I've been away since Halloween patch, and yeah, elemental swords in general are OP as far as I remember but DA charge attack was smth insane.

So, let me sum up: bombs are still meh, crafting has been somewhat improved, heating stuff became a hellish task, my mad bomber set is useless and uhh... people still spam vana to farm money? Any better options?

not really a summary

Far more than that has changed, in this update alone. Elevators are now free. Battle sprites exist. Because battle sprite food requires minerals, minerals are now precious. Crafting is slightly easier, but heating is slightly harder and certainly more complicated. Many of the details of how a party revives knights and picks up loot are different. And new gear was introduced in a special event at the end of January. I could go on, but maybe you should just read the release notes?

"Bombs" are not "meh", although most people regard the shard bombs as "meh". People seem to farm Firestorm Citadel less than they did earlier, partially because it yields few minerals per minute.

My Sparks of Life are somewhere between 100 and 200, which I'm sure is nothing special. So you'll have to beat someone more ambitious.
