would be super neat if they removed the animation lock for the knights while they command a sprite to use an ability. instead of sitting there like an idiot pointing, i purpose the sprites being able to attack individually without assistance from my finger gestures, allowing the knight to move out of harms way (or not stand around to get in it in the first place) as well as being able to attack at the same time as the sprite and or shortly after with a follow up/combo swing
also in doing this i hope it would also change the fact that when a knight is frozen or stunned and you ask a sprite to attack, it attacks in whatever direction the knight is stuck in and not where it is told, very lame considering the sprite ISN"T frozen
thoughts?
I would really like for the sprites to be able to attack even when the owner is shielding or carrying something like a vial or a key. This restriction to not give the sprite that ability I think is pretty reasonable. Still, it bothers me that the sprite has a delayed turn, and the player has to wait half or 1 second to align the sprite visual to the target specified, but it’s pretty realistic. Each of these troublesome flaws in my point of view are meant to make the pet less effective as a battle weapons, yet create a realistic image of how a real robotic pet could function (although voice command could easily solve the finger pointing, oh well). My point is that these defects are there to create a realistic image of how a sci-fi robotic pet would act as a supportive role to the knights of spiral (or spiral knights if you prefer).
