That, and I always found it curious that there wasn't more accessories or gear that was indicative of a general feminine appearance. I myself am not female, but girls or guys who want their knights to have a more "female" don't have a lot of choices. Thoughts on that, possible changes/new accessories for that?
Pardon a dumb question, but are the Knights robots?
That description was built from a LOT of in game item and material descriptions, someone should really put together all the sources. But yea, they're not robots, sure they mix with their technology somewhat but they're living. Well depends, is any accessory not "female" instantly male? I mean most accs aren't indicative of gender, both girls and guys can have a side blade. Armors are more noticeable, but most are gender neutral and there is a good amount of "female" armor, so I don't think its much of a problem when it comes to options for girls. People who want to look "girly" are only slightly limited.
I think OOO has noticed this to a degree, which is why they added the dress-like proto armor and the almond eyes.
At the same time, there are still some feminine armors/accessories already, they just aren't that common. For example, the Drake Scale Armor Line, the Angelic Set, and the Shivermail. You can also debate there aren't that many armor sets that scream masculinity. Most of them are rather gender neutral, but people just seem to assume most gamers are males.

I already did. You can find them all on the page itself. although it looks a bit ugly when you copy paste it straight. One day I'll get around to converting them into the fancy reference links you see on Wikipedia.
According to the wiki...
"The Knights are vertebrates of organic structure, resembling short humanoids with dark skin, glowing eyes and stumpy feet. As organic creatures they can suffer from biological imperfection and sickness. They are warm-blooded, have hair, and wear clothes.
Knights can be affected by neurological disruption, are capable of emotions, have various personality traits including those of the anti-social deviation, and in some cases, most notably the Arkus incident, can be driven mad."
Which means they are not robots.
