I can tell you one thing, polaris even with asi vh is not considered as high damage, many swords and guns (and few bombs) can outdamage polaris easily. I'll say get one brandish line you like (volt edge, combuster or glacius) then buff it up with your gears or uv, get something like ctr max then damage max then asi whatever. or OCH if you don't have one yet.

Swager-God, you've been getting snarky answers, because people don't like your question. It's too vague. You'd have to tell us what you already have. We'd probably recommend that you sample play styles that you haven't tried yet. For example, if you don't have a catalyzer-style gun, then you should try one. That's just an example. If you're not 5-star yet, then you should probably try to become 5-star first, so that you can earn lots of money, which makes trying more equipment easier.

Well, if you want an easy loadout that makes you look like walking bird poop, get skolver with DA, AP, and grey owlite shield. You won't be anything special.
Or you could get a mix of snarb/vog with BTS and get brandishes for dmg.
Or you could become the ultimate elemental sword hipster like me, and get an FoV ctr high, with grey feather cowl and volcanic plate mail. But you might get fried by yourself a lot. Hilarious in LD tho.
But for an effective loadout that doesnt suck like mine, i recommend mix and match between snarbo armor (armor looks sweet), chaos set (used alot, but not as ugly as skolvers), use BTS as shield for sword dmg, and brandishes/alchemers for gun dmg. Alchemers are useful in all kinds of situations, and brandishes are solid dps weaps that got an absolutely MORONIC buff about a year ago. Happy crafting!
I like elemental swords... I like Guns to tho... And i like things with high dmg... (like a polaris with speed increase max) Or something crazy like that
