So....yeah.
Items Not Sold: Receive 30% of your Money back.
But I just thought it can be quite annoying when you sell expensive stuff at a reasonable price yet it doesn't get sold...
Sucks for you when it does but deal with it. Don't want the risk? Post it in bazzar and look for people intrested and trade.
I have nothing to say so I will leave this here .
Well...you say we need crown sinks but the other 70% of our crowns would be sunk. Also, (I haven't...) but imagine if you sold something and it cost you over million crowns to put in Auction and it didn't sell? I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a good feeling. That's why you could atleast get some of your money back.
Don't put the minimum bid as a million crowns?
Listing fees will be listing fees, if you have bad economy sense, put it for less crowns. It's a "starting bid" not a "reserve".
And if you want to be cheap and don't want to pay fees for an online item holding and advertising service, then use the trade channel.
If the equipment that you are selling is worth a million then why not just keep it and use it?
No, because that wouldn't be the point. I do not have anything worth a million crowns, although I'm holding onto some Prismatic Valkyrie wings and I'm gonna wait a while until maybe selling them, so hopefully they're worth more. But just because you have a rare item doesn't always necessarily mean that you must use it. People like to speculate, and so do I. It can just be a pain that when you sell something at a reasonable price and it still doesn't get sold then at least getting a little bit of your money back would be nice.
sell something at a reasonable price and it still doesn't get sold
You mean when you put your reserve price into the starting bid? It's a starting bid, not a reserve.
The whole point of the listing fee is to provide a negative reaction if your item doesn't sell. It also stops people from needlessly increasing the price of things on AH. if there was no listing fee, then every1 would sell things at a much higher price, ultimately making the game more expensive to play and having an opposite reaction to your intended idea (just speculation). Also what Hexzyle said, you are using the in-game advertising service and you have to pay for said service. otherwise you would basically be getting free advertisement (as opposed to having to actively advertise over trade channel).
"You mean when you put your reserve price into the starting bid? It's a starting bid, not a reserve."
I'm aware of that, and infact I usually make bid-only auctions.
Today I went to Mcdonalds. The new Angus & Egg breakfast burger is pretty good.
