With the rise of player population and servers getting hammered,
Any chance this feature is feasible to be implemented if the way this game handles server side hosting not too hard coded into the game?

Of course there will be alot of cons ranging from security issues to fake data being transmitted and latency issues if the host has terrible connection

But one of the best pros would be the reduction of chances rubberbanding/lag spike happening and less stress towards the server itself,

Or we could get better servers.

I'm no expert, but for things like chatting with someone outside the party, checking energy prices from market, etc, don't we need a constant connection to the main server anyways?

Horrible idea

First, I don't want to know how big a server package is or how much computing power it takes to run it. Second, having an "offline" mode in SK would either have to be no inventory transfer (so a waste of time) or be used as an exploit. Third, it would totally get rid of the interaction part of the community.

In conclusion, boo, hiss.
