***Disclaimer***
Hopefully nobody has opened a thread like this, or with ideas similar to this. I'd just like to say that these ideas were all thought of by me, with some help from friends. (Which was mostly me asking them "Does this sound overpowered? or is it decent?"
****End of disclaimer***
My idea is fairly simple in thought, and I'll leave the exact damage/effects/ranking ideas I include up to OOO if they ever were to try something like this.

Well, for us Vanguards, lets face it....Tokens really lose value. As a newer player, I was always thinking that getting the Brute jelly/Plate armors from Brinks would make me super-powerful and amazing at the game....And now that i'm fairly well off, and have beaten vana+shadow lairs multiple times, i've realized that Brinks is...kinda...not that useful, outside of getting extra crowns. By the end of this suggestion, I hope that people agree and we could maybe work toward putting these idea's in, and making Brinks more....useful, or at least giving us more items.

In short, I want to add a few "special items" to each boss-token line. They are basically all Recipes and Weapons, and I'll include a Name/Gameplay Mechanic/Description for each. I'd also like to add, that for each of these weapons and such, you will have to reach a certain rank to even see them. Much like how the Supply Depot doesn't show you 5* items as a newer player, viewing these would also require a rank. However, it'd be nice if you could get something in the mail, or a notification, when you can see/buy them.

**From Snarbolax**
Name: Stinger
Cost: 50 Frumious Fangs
Type: Antigua
Gameplay: Basically, I want this to be a 4* Piercing variation of the Antigua. I'm sure people are always saying they want it, and theres probably more suggestions of it on the fourm (Hope they didn't use the same name, at least). I would imagine that the 4* would have Damage bonus: Low to Wolvers, as well as dealing standard 4* antigua damage ( Imagine silversix to undead, now replace with Stinger and Wolvers). I also picture the bullets being a reddish color.
Description: "Out in the wild, creatures love to bite, rip, and claw. But you like to sting".
Star and Rank: 4*, Knight-Elite
_______________________________________________
Name: Spiker
Cost: 75 Frumious Fangs
Type: Antigua
Gameplay: Honestly, same as before. Only mimicking the 5* Antigua variants with piercing damage. It would also acquire a Medium: Wolver bonus. Also, with the charge hit, I picture it using something along the lines of the image that the Wild Hunting Blade uses when you do its charge. That would be, for those who don't know, an image of the snarble biting. I picture it being virtually the same as the giant birds that exit the Argent and Sentenza, Only this time, a grassy yellow snarble lunging. For this, I picture the bullets becoming the same shade of grassy-yellow that the Snarble would be.
Description: " A newly forged handgun made from the Spines and skin of this world's finest predator"
Star and Rank: 5* Rank: Champion

**From the Jelly King**

Name: Ball-O-Slime
Cost: 75 Jelly Gems
Type: Large Sword
Gameplay: I picture the "Ball-O-Slime" to be, in a sense, a lot like the 5* Warmaster Rocket Hammer, but much slower, And with no lunge. And it would only do Pure-Normal. Each hit would be quite a bit weaker then a Leviathan Blade, but it would have decent pushback, And three hits instead of the Rocket Hammer's 5. It would also have the look of a Mace, hence the name "Ball-O-Slime"
Description: "This gelatinous mallet has, for years, been a staple in bringing Jelly-Justice"
Star and Rank: 5*, Champion
_______________________________________________
Name: Ball-O-Spike
Cost: 75 Jelly Gems
Type: Large Sword
Gameplay: I picture this bearng the same look as the Ball-O-Slime, however, this would have a few Jelly-Spikes on it. Basically, Imagine a Mace...but pinkish! I also see its stats being virtually the same as the Ball-O-Slime, but dealing moderate Piercing Damage, instead of Normal.
Description: "Time and time again this weapon has proven itself to keep away beasts trying to devour the Jelly Kingdom"
Star and Rank: 5*, Champion
_______________________________________________
**From Roarmulus Twins**

Name: Eye of the Storm
Cost: 125 Bark Modules
Type: Slow Brandish
Gameplay: I imagine this being a Shock-Version of the Fang of Vog. The charge hit would let out a barrage of shocking balls, and have a moderate chance of shocking the user. Each normal hit would be a very slow hitting brandish, with a slight chance of causing slight shock. And honestly, it may sound overpowered ( OH NO EYE OF THE STORM SPAMMERS ON LOCKDOWN!), But with its slowness, and with the existence of Shock Bombs and Pulsars, I don't believe it'll make the game "unfair".
Description: "Monsters throughout the clockworks complaining about bad weather have something new to talk about "
Star and Rank: 5*, Vanguard
_______________________________________________
Name: Wrath of Roarmulus
Cost: 150 Bark Modules
Type: New type of Bomb
Gameplay: I would love to see a bomb like this in action. I see it as a slower to detonate bomb, with a 5* radius, that (somewhat similar to shard bombs) will let out three waves of tiny shock-balls, much like the Roarmulus attack where they let out a barrage of tiny shock balls, only now it happens within the bomb radious. Each bomb would do roughly 35 damage, and have a chance of slight shock.
Description: "Salvaged from the very creature built to destroy, its mission can now be carried out by the ones who destroyed it"
Star and Rank: 5*, Vanguard
_______________________________________________
** From Vanaduke**
Name: The Heavy Burden
Cost: 100 Almarian Seals
Type: Magnus
Gameplay: I picture this as a Magnus type weapon that deals pure-shadow. It also inflicts a moderate chance of slight Curse to those who are shot by it. However, I feel its slowness and the overall dislike of the Magnus' style weapons by most Knights will lead to this being very unused in Lockdown. Even if it were to be used, its going to be about as useful as the Faust, which can be beaten by simply moving.
Description: " Although this weighty gun is a Burden to carry, its a much bigger burden on those its facing..."
Star and Rank: 5*, Vanguard
_______________________________________________
Name: The Grave Digger
Cost: 75 Almarian Seals
Type: Shovel-Type (The low star Slime Slasher)
Gameplay: I'm imagining this as a bigger, ash covered, version of the Slime Slasher. Dealing a large amount of Normal damage, and its charge hit (Which would remain the same, one big burst, not like the voltedge/other brandishes charge hits having waves of its ability). Its charge his would also, since being covered in ash and being so hot, have a moderate chance of causing slight fire. Normal hits would not have an affect.
Description: " After traveling through the broken city of Almire, its not that hard to imagine what this was used for.."
Star and Rank: 5*, Vanguard
_______________________________________________
Name: The Bone Breaker
Cost: 75 Almarian Seals
Type: Beast Basher-type
Gameplay: I'm thinking, for this, of making it very similar to the Beast Basher, only this one doing almost the same amount of damage as a Leviathan Blade, its charge hit doing the same as the "Grave Digger" mentioned before, and this one having Damage vs. Undead: High.
Description: "Entering Almire, you wonder why things like this exist. Exiting Almire, you understand completely."
Star and Rank: 5*, Vanguard

I understand most of the star/rank's are Vanguard, but to be honest, I picture most of these items as "Trophy" items, Or simply new things for the knights that like to have everything. Or....something new to spend your abundance of tokens on!

Any criticism's/added ideas/mispellings/problems you see would be very appreciated, And honestly, I'm probably overlooking something overpowered with these weapons.

If vanaduke is going to give more weapons, why not a miniature version of his hammer?

Yes, I'm serious. It's the most obvious and logical idea.

Pro tip for making new items:

Pro tip for making new items: Don't just reskin and stat change old ones. All you are doing is being lazy and that never helps when making a suggestion.
Try to make the weapons unique or at least kind of different from the one you are ripping it off of. Try to think of weapons as just their attacks this way you avoid just making a reskin.(nothing wrong with reskins just they are not new "weapons".)

Take the dark thorn blade as an example, the stats are the same as the final florish but they changed the charge attack.

I thouht about that too..

Well, I thought about two things with him...
My first idea was actually a replica version of his mace, but whenever i tried to think of possible stats, it just wound up being an overpowered Fang of Vog, or some kind of fire-triglav...
So i kind've scrapped that idea...
Next i thought, why not rip off the Mask of Seerus, and make it the "Mask of Almire".......But whenever me and my friends talked about it, we kind've figured the best way to mimic his would be to make a really weak mask that gives slight resistances to everything....which, depending on how much resistance would be on there, would either be pointlessly underpowered, or really overpowered.

i want to backhand you.

Oh fns you don't make a new weapon by ripping off current ones. Stop looking at cosmetics and look at the freaking mechanics.
These are the first questions you should be asking when making a new weapon.
What type of damage dose it do?
Causes a status? If yes what status and why?
Clipsize/hit combo length?
What dose its charge attack do?
Any special gimics or balance effects?
How do you aquire it?

You shouldn't start by asking these when making a new weapon,
What should we rip off?
What sounds "cool"?
What should it look like?

Hmm..I see your point..

I guess i'm just a bit lame with these things, I didn't really want to confuse people or anything with details, so I just tried to compare them/make them similar to weapons already in existence. And, to be honest, My friends and I were just rambling about things we wanted, and I figured some of them sounded neat, so i'd put them here.
But in all honesty, I'd LOVE to see a piercing version of the Antigua, since it starts as a 3* doing that damage....And the Roarmulus ideas sounded pretty fun as well...the Vanaduke ones we sort've thought would just be neat to have, since we're kind've OP, and like to run around lower teirs and goof off.

Also, sorry to waste your time, I'm kind've new to the fourms, and this is probably a pretty pointless thread to read anyway (Neat ideas or not, I doubt OOO will look into putting these into the game without tons of support, which i'm probably not going to get), so I hope it didn't waste too much time xD

Oh, okay then.

Well, I mean, if you want to get all bent out of shape for me throwing some ideas out... Granted, they're not the best of ideas, but Lets see...
Leviathan Blade line, Lionheart Honor Blade Line...Scissor Blades...
Dark Thorn Blade....Final Flourish...
All the Brandishes....
The two antigua variants...
Blitz Needle, Pepperbox, and the Plague Needle...
Yep, You're right, there's definitely no room whatsoever for a weapon that has similar effects, Or one that works the same as another.
Not to mention, These are just ideas. Never did I say I was an artist who could draw these, or a programmer who could make an image of what i'm saying. They were merely ideas that sounded neat to us, And i wanted to see who felt the same. Besides, its ultimately up to OOO, if they were to make it, how they would make it.

Apparently, having just ideas makes you an angry person though.

Acutally...

You know, when reading what you said again, I actually did list a lot of those....
A lot of them don't have effects however, like the angitua variants and such...
I mean, an antigua that...say...poisons? that would...just not be good.
I suppose I could've gone into more detail, but once again, just ideas.

STOP PUTTING YOUR SELF DOWN

*slaps you across the face leaving dark purple cuts*
Get your head out of the "self hattin" bucket and actually try to make something.
Just about every thread in the suggestion forum is checked by an admin. A cube who I call Doctor wrote a long thread over in game traps once.
It was long but something from it got added. His watch tower idea. They are used in the collector mission. So don't tell me the admins don't check threads.

So clean out the cut on your face before it gets demon'd and opens another portal to the underworld and come up with some good ideas.
Like a 4 shot piercing pistol that launched compressed air. Have the charge attack produce a small cone of rushing air in front of the player that causes stun and high knock back. Go ahead and use that one if you want.

what

Er....Alrighty then....
Anyway, I'm not much for fourms. So I wasn't entirely sure how often they were checked, But I still doubt they'd add ALL of them. I mean, like you said (Which I thought was you trying to start an argument or something), They're mostly variations or heightened stars of weapons, but I still like them. I mean, when I was new, I loved the shovel and stuff, it just felt neat to smack stuff around. But now as a 5*..its just.."big sword..big sword...big gun...hmm..."

from angery jerk to angery helper.

I've stopped trying to start arguments nubcake.
Now I yell tips and motivational speaches.

Try to avoid doing weapon stats and when you have to keep it vauge as really only the devs pick the stats as all we see are bars.

Don't rig statuses to damage types, this just makes it harder to make weapons for no real reason.

Try to avoid making elemetal weapons. We currently have too many so maybe you should come up with ideas on how to change the charge attacks to make them less identical.

Leave look, story of weapon, and crafting rescipe for last unless you want to make a reskin.

Avoid using current weapons to describe how the idea looks or works. This can make it confuzzeling when you use too many or even one.

WEAPON!!!

Vanaduke's Mace

Acquired From: Sanctuary Alchemy Machine

How to get: This one's a doozy. You need 40 of each boss token to get the four shards of the mace. Then you need, on top of that, all four SL mats.

The weapon you get from it is well, WELL worth your troubles, though. The first swing is 180 degrees ahead, like other heavy swords, but the second swing propels you a step forwards and brings the weapon down from overhead, smashing opponents every which way, dealing strong fire and medium stun. Extreme Shadow Damage, pure. (My imagining of it's damage/statuses)

Looks like: ...Vanaduke's Mace. You know. What he smashes down whenever you fight him for one of the many billions of times? THAT?

Charge Attack: A dash forward, a smash downward. Dash and smash both inflict damage.

I guess the vanaduke mace would be neat...

Sounds good, but that sounds like a bit much...for what would, in essence, be a shadow-triglav with a powerful charge it.

Wouldnt the piercing Antigua

Wouldnt the piercing Antigua replace Callahan (Or whatever its called). Other than that, most of the weapons you suggested are pretty good.

Not exactally

I don't own a Callahan, but my friend does, and he claims that it does around 300 dmg per shot. Also, lets be honest, not many people like/use the Callahan.

But about the damages, I see this one doing around (if you have the damage boosting armor, Shadowsun i believe its called), your "Stinger" would be doing around 125 damage per shot to wolvers in T3, and around 180 at 5* as the "Spiker".

So, I see it becoming more of a personal appeal battle. People who want a bigger stronger gun that can stun, but fires slowly and only has two rounds, they can take the Callahan. If people want to do less damage, but shoot faster, they can pick my ideas.

Although it seems a bit like people will always pick the "Spiker/Stinger", i'd like to throw out the existence of the Umbra/Nova drivers. Although they are a bit under powered compared to the Sentenza and Argent Peacemaker, they're still pretty widely used. Granted, not as frequently as a storm driver or something, but I still see them around.

In short, i don't think it would drive people away from the Callahan that much, mostly because its just not that good of a gun overall, but anyone who definitely wants one will probably still go for it because of its large damage and stun chance.

you need to actually take what I said into consideration.

You don't even own the gun yourself so why the hell are you commenting on how good it is?
The Calahan is a wounderful gun, not just does it provide stun it also knocks down most enimies on hit.

This does not mean your brokenly powerful gun would not over shadow it.
The Calahan only does roughly 214 at level one and about 240 at level 10.
Your gun can deal 1,200 damage with one clip vs wolvers. The Calahan, the tank gun, can't even break 500. You freaking tell me if that would be over powered?
I told you to stay away from damage values. They are not easy for anyone to deal with.

Zantaclaws
But, if you look at the others...

If you look at the Argent Peacemaker and Sentenza, they do the same.
With the sentenza you can do roughly 1,200 damage to Gremlins, which is a "Tank gun" compared to the biohazard and Umbra Driver.

With the Argent Peacemaker you can do the same to zombies, which would make the entire Driver line, Pulsars, and any other small-clipped elemental gun worthless.

However, thats not the case. As i said before, the "stinger/spiker" would be nicer for most players, but its not for everyone. Much like how drivers are still used around the other antigua variants.

I'd also like to add that both the Argent and Sentenza are used for higher-level missions, like Vanaduke and Operation Crimson Hammer. However, the guns in my idea would only be used to help with those annoying wolver/devlite levels.

i'd also just like to say that I appreciate your responses Waffle, but it honestly sounds like you're not thinking about how the other Antigua variants are already integrated into the game, not only that, but these would require you to get a lot of Snarble-tokens to get anyway. So the difficulty of getting them would probably turn some people away. Not only that, but the fact that its primary use would be for wolvers and fiends, it would be a useless weapon outside of Devilite and Wolver depths.

Lastly....why are you seemingly so obsessed over trying to make my idea fail? I mean, the gun is not overpowered, its a pretty nice idea that a lot of people like (Maybe not all of my weapons, but more token prizes, and a piercing antigua are). Not only that, but I don't exactly see you as some kind've fountain of knowledge as far as forum posts go.... your sentence:
" I told you to stay away from damage values. They are not easy for anyone to deal with"
That basically shows that you either have no idea the damage counter exists in Spiral Knights, or that you are just an anti-factual person. And to top things off, you're just hard to read. You start out with critcism, then get a bit angry it seems, then happy and friendly...and now you're trying to act like you're in charge?
In all honesty, i'm starting to kind've see why my friends all told me to not post on the forums.
