Hello all! Im a sword guy and i need a good alchemer as a sidearm. The choosen one are Storm driver and Hail driver because i already have a fire status weapon and i dont care of shadow damage.
I saw that freeze is really useful but schock is good too.
My 5* and 4* weps:

I recommend Storm Driver over Hail Driver. The fundamental problem is that you can break your own freeze. The Hail Driver regular shots don't freeze very often. But, when they do freeze, your next shot (or ricochet) often unfreezes. So you have to be very careful with your regular shots; you certainly can't spam them. The charge shots have a much higher rate of freeze, and they don't happen as often, so they are pretty effective at freezing.
In contrast, you can't break your own shock or fire. And shock is more useful than fire. This is why Storm is my favorite elemental alchemer. Well, I like Nova too.
Storm if you play with idiot. Hail ONLY if the people you play with are not brainless hogs.
Since brainless hogs descripe about 90% of your typical lockdown team/random party, go storm.
so... Hail driver is harder to use and Storm Driver is easier to use and you cant break your own schock.
I think i will choose Storm because i can spam it and that's the job of a sidearm.

If you want to use a status of the gun, in your case, storm is the better because you can't freeze and burn an enemy at the same time...
