I'm sure this is has been suggested quite a few times, but here me out.
You know how in the 9-4 missions you tell Kora how you're looking forward for future intel and missions? Speaking of missions, this wiki page says that there might be more in the future. What would good Vanguard missions be? As to be expected, they would be tough... Really tough. But not tough enough to make the game unplayable. Completing a mission would fill up like 1 square of the rank meter (Or 1 and a half. maybe 2). After seeing (and listening to) a bit of fan content, it got me thinking of possibly a new boss, a huge fight for the core, and to repair the Skylark and get back home. In the end-game, you have the option to go to Isora or back to Cradle via a hangar in both planets' garrisons. Also, I'd like to see our lord and savior Harry Mack put his skills to use once again for the different scenarios. There's a music track in the game's files called 'comlink_urgent", and I think we'd be pleased to hear it. Also, last but not least: A "Final Boss". A boss to finally relieve Vanaduke of his place from being the most grinded boss in the game ever and end his pain. I've had a few ideas in mind.
The "Swarm Core". This video shows what I mean. Also, i've seen those chomping teeth, eye, and particles in the game files. Its attacks are unknown to me for now as I don't have any ideas.
Add King Tinkinzar as a visible NPC I guess after defeating the final boss. Which also brings me to the idea of mor panoramic cut scenes. maybe some cool movie-like animations with the HUD hidden just to see it. With the option to skip if you've already seen it more than once. Also fitting dialog would be nice if the NPCs were to be speaking. Then the HUD would slide back onscreen once gameplay resumes. But enough side-tracking.
I've also pictured TKZ as "Evil" (Yes, I know it's silly, but it makes sense since it seems of though Warmaster Seerus himself only shares audiaence with him. Though Seerus has nothing to do with this). Also as the final boss. Where he can use magical powers to control the Clockworks and use them at his disposal. Which would trigger a scene of an earthquake on Cradle (Cradlequake?). After defeating him, the core's massive energy is for the taking.
Or you can do it like this: Swarm Core as final boss, then TKZ as a good guy explaining how well the you and the knights have done and gotten this far, and telling who/what built the Clockworks (Himself, Gremlins, Nature, Who knows?), and the fate of the Alpha Squad. In a mission called "A Clockwork Origin" (Though of that myself. Though, the explinations ahead might sound unfitting). It could have the big fight, or in a more or less "Sacred Realm" where you see TKZ and what I've stated above after defeating the Swarm Core. Then the core opens, ready for energy to be extracted by the Knights, and returning home.
Should you choose Tinkinzar as the final boss, the backstory of the Clockworks shall forever remain a mystery until some future update. Oh, and try dding a new missions type called "Shadow Lairs" missions on the Mission menu, and of course, the start button would be un-clickable unless you have a shadow key. You can amass a party in the lobby, but not in the levels themselves of course. After completing all the missions, you'll still retain your rank of Vanguard, but with a different number after the 10 (Rank 10-?. Insert a number there). Now here is the part where I run out of ideas. I'll try to keep this thing updated if I ever come up with new ideas and what the missions themselves would be and what you would have to do in them. By the way, if what I said about going into the game files and possibly accidentally posting spoilers for a future update and showing that video of the Swarm Core offended the GMs and see fit to take action on this, I will not hold back. I will understand the error of my ways and not repeat this thread in such an elaborate detail, if not at all. The GMs have my permission to edit anything I've said, come up with ideas relating to my ideas, just modify them, come up with new ideas entirely, Or remove this thread from the face of the forums, or give me a temporary ban for posting spoilers (If I did actually just do that unwittingly). I'm not saying this for the sake of myself (Yet, why would anyone do that?), I'm saying this because I want SK to grow popular and be a major-hit game.
Some of the content I've seen/listened to--------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1R6ksXGzgU - Epic Music... Lol that's all XD... Sorry if it sounds like I got this whole slew of ideas from just one song remix. But trust me, I didn't XD.
So what are your guys' ideas for an endgame, and/or what would you change in this to make it better?
as a concept is ok, but we return home and? game's finished. back to boredom. no, even worse, some may say "game's finished, on to the next game". we need something a bit more interesting if we want to keep interested gamers.
ah, for the SLs from the mission panel, no. you only need to do 4 floors of clockworks for them, it's not much. you can even speedrun them and then invite friends. but you'll need vitapods, so it's better not.
also try this, I know it's long.
in the end, don't expect GMs to reply something if not "keep it civil, people". they read, but they can't approve or disapprove a suggestion without having a catalyst effect on you, your friends, and the amount of suggestions you'll make because "I have GM approval!"
