So, for your second paragraph, we aren't going to get out, and if you have no critics, how will you make your idea better? So please, let us bash around your idea.
Alright. -1. Your prize box rates are a bit too high. I have no idea what the rate is now, but for me, I always go for 100% and still have a good ~90 crystals left. Not a lot, but good enough. I have heard that there are tons of crap that are extremely expensive in the boxes, such as U tickets and such. If it were 50% chance, I would have gotten it several times by now, talking in mathematical terms, and very possibly saved a million through boxes. Also, stuff like 3 sta items can also give you boxes, so you can just make a 3 star weapon, heat it, and keep trying. With your rates, they would almost certainly get one.
first things first, if you know it's used to slow down players, you shouldn't go for thing change. which is not slight at all.
the chances are low because you are not supposed to use the low tier.
and, no, people will stop using the max tier, because they don't care of the forge prize box (the chances are so low that hoping for that is like hoping for a ASI VH on a weapon), all they need is the 100% chance.
besides, crystals aren't so hard to find. I have found more enough crystals to forge Supernova from 9 to 10 and BTS from 7 to 10, with an excess of 150 crystals, only during the BK event. if you want you can speedrun levels, getting only the boxes, and you will have your crystals.
