Alright, so the Razwog in the beginning is cool. A set of a cool plot. The twist? Razwog tricks into obtaining the generator and lies about not detonating the facility. Pretty cool.

I was thinking of adding more. OOO, please add more cutscenes. Really, cool, cutscenes. Not those "Agent Kora here!" ones. Those are just mission briefs that don't really give much emotion. Sure, they do give adrenaline, but where's all the cool suspense? The drama? I mean, Vanaduke has a pretty cool intro cutscene, but that's that. All the other bosses (Snarbolax, Roarmulus Twins, Jelly King) don't have any. OOO, please regurgitate an acid-load of cutscenes into the game. That means "A LOT". Thanks for reading.

another good cut scene would

another good cut scene would be crashing while in orbit with your ship skylark crashing too in the beginning of the game.Make it interesting so people dont just go to the rescue camp and quit the game

What Oatmonster said.

Cutscenes are interesting once, and then become less interesting every time you're forced to watch them. It doesn't take long for them to become negatively interesting.

The Roarmulus Twins are exempt because that intro is necessary for the boxes and enemies to spawn.

Skipping a cutscene isn't really straight-forward. I mean, if you skip the Vanaduke one, you still to wait for the ones watching it to finish.
I do agree to have that option, though.

The Roarmulus Twins are exempt because that intro is necessary for the boxes and enemies to spawn.
I think it's more to give the impression of the R Twins "coming to get you". The boxes and enemies spawn after the intro. Assuming I'm reading you correctly.

The fade-to-white is much cleaner than the spawners and boxes spontaneously appearing, is what I mean.

the spawners and the boxes don't appear, you get teleported to another location while the white is on.

So? Might as well be spontaneous appearance.

@Draycos:
Ah, I see what you mean now. Sorry for the confusion.

@Thunder-The-Bright:
Do you have proof of that? I would've thought it would be more efficient to create instances of those objects on-demand, rather than have 2 copies of the same location.

If you're coming from a "game event" point of view, as in, what happens in the world of SK; I don't see any indication that the knights and R Twins change position in the game world, at any time.

in the game world the RTs activate and the battle begins.
game-wise, you get teleported. you notice it from the minimap. the place where the RTs stand is entierly different, and there are some other differences at the lower side of the level.
EDIT: also, if you don't have a perfect connection (like me) there is a split second with no sound at all, which is odd if you wouldn't load something.

ok buut..

We should avoid "sit and watch" cut seens. If we in some way can interact with the game during it or effect the outcome of the cut seen that would be best.

Where would we have these cut scenes? Where and what would they say roughly? Also I know a way to glitch out of Crossing the Chasm because of the Cut scene. It's all here...

Feel free to try it. :D

So... cutscenes are vital for an MMO like Spiral Knights... and sure, it doesn't require wait time.

Thunder, for OOO's sake, I hope you're not. Two instances of the same place is pretty inefficient.

Yet, you say the minimap shows you've moved, but you get a loading delay. That sounds like the game world is destroyed, and then re-created; which is a pretty horrible idea in itself.

Anyhow, guys, please remember that if you skip a cutscene, such as Vana opening, you still need to wait for the other party members to finish; so having that functionality doesn't necessarily help you.

you don't need another instance, you just need another place distant enough not to be shown by the minimap and you're done. you get teleported, else the stage map wouldn't change. especially not the bottom part.

Cutscenes, types, and locations

I know right now, I want to see the skylark crashing down when you make a new knight. (Btw does anyone else wonder wtf happened to it after the crash?) It can show the ship having an explosion or something and seeing all sort of pods eject from the ship. As the start getting farther away the camera can zoom in on a single pod that has your knight sitting in front of the viewport. Que the fade to black, and the starting of the game.

Snarbolax, While we get a decent introduction in seeing him/her in the 2 pre levels, I would like it so that when you GET to the pre-levels it does a short cut scene of the snarb's red eyes watching us descend and then seeing them hop up and down then hearing the snarbolaxe's digging sound.

Jelly King.... I'm drawing a blank on this one. Maybe when you reach the boss room you see just a crown sitting on the floor, then as soon as everyone steps on a button a short cutscene plays of a ton of royal mini jellies converging onto the crown and the jelly king being formed. (Would also serve as a viable showing of the mini jellies' ability to heal.)

Twins.... that ones tough. I love its introduction at the boss stage (really gave me an "Oh Sh**! We are so dead!" feel my first time) Though I would like a cutscene for the pre levels itself. Maybe a quick flyover of the factory before a gremlin overseer or something sees us descending and we see him run to a door marked "Twin Controls" or something?

Vanaduke... Haven't fought the guy yet so I'm not sure what would be a good intro for him. If anyone has an idea that would be great.

The core, It would be great if, after all our work, when we reach depth 29 we get a close up view of the core, like the Twin's flyover and we may see a few beams of energy? If someone can think of a better type that would be great.

I can't think of any more that would be semi-easy to integrate that would also look good. I'm trying to think of previous MMOs that I've played that had cutscenes (MH3 being one of my favs)

Of course all of these can be skipped by a majority vote, unless its someone on the parties first time there.

Twins

Roarmulus twins do have a cut scene. You can only move just a bit when they are moving up to the platform. They then open their eyes and put their appendages on the platform and move their head forward and let out a roar. The cut scene then ends.
