I never posted before, help me out here, blah blah that stuff. I'm gonna assume that you want the suggestion; it is this: make energy wells work similarly to real wells. I give credit for this idea to my little sister, who, after I explained about the energy wells, asked me why they didn't fill up like real wells. There you have it, the birth of a new idea. Next up, the cap at which it stops gaining. I never could really find the balance between too exploitable, causing the economy to crash, and too useless. I'm gonna just make an estimate, and we can tweak it until it works. So, let us get on with this, my suggestion is that we have a 300 energy cap, meaning no more than 300 energy could ever be accumulated, and a growth of 10 a day (aka 1 unit of energy every 2.4 hours). So, you do the math, and you get 300 energy in approximately a month. So down below this first mist-like energy counter would be a second counter, where people could put in energy for others to use. I never had to think about how to explain this part. I'm gonna do it anyway, it's like the old mist and crystal energy system, just edited a bit. I turn to you people now for suggestions. Looked around, but didn't see any topics like this. Oh, and for those of you in a guild with a well, well... Don't desert now, you could benefit from this. So, you guys/gals help and suggest, and help this some more.

Thanks for bearing with me all that way, and sorry for the repeated, awkward phrasing, I just had to take the challenge and insert a secret message using the second word of each sentence.

Beep.

Unfortunately, any system that gives free (Crystal) Energy is always going to be exploitable; and thus, unwanted. Imagine a guild member just logging in daily to take whatever has been acquired in the energy well.

Regardless, if this was to be implemented, what would happen to the wells already with more than 300 energy?
Does the energy apply to every well as a whole? Or individual wells (ie. if a guild has 2, full wells; does that mean 300, or 600 energy?)?

If the generation is too great, I'll start creating fake guilds with wells that pay themselves.

If it's too low, why would you buy a well? whatever you gain from it is spent on its upkeep. Just a currency conversion.

Ok, I see some clarification is needed.

Dust-Dragon, the well would have 2 counters, similar to the old mist and crystal system. the first would be the regenerative counter, the second would be the energy that guild members had put in. Of course, withdrawals would come from the regenerative supply first, second, guild input supply second. the guild would be limited to 1 well, or if multiple wells were created, they would all tap into the same resource, essentially access to the same well from different places. Edit: the wells with existing energy higher than 300 would have it all put into the second counter.

Juances, currently there is no reason to buy a well anyway, and the well's that were bought now are useless anyway. at least in this way, the well could be slightly useful. At the suggested rate, you get 10 a day. Even with the energy prices at 8000, that would be 800 cr a day. honestly? it would be easier for someone to run a mission, as well as much more enjoyable.
