I think the idea of the battle sprites is great: adds a great versability to the battles. But, I prefer to go without one (at least, for the time being). I'm now at the mission were you have to choose a sprite to link with, I tried to go on without choosing, but I have found no way to do it. Does anybody know if it's possible, and if it is possible, how yo dou it?

Thanks!

You'll have to pick one,

You'll have to pick one, however you can always have it unequipped so you don't HAVE to use it, just own it

just equip it... and don't

just equip it... and don't use it ;)
you'll probably be better of with one that offers some defensive powers, i have a drakon and never use it appart from the flame shield when things get a bit to crowded for my taste.

you can still choose to equip it or not (it works the same way like equiping gear) but just equip it either way (even if just for the perks)

he may not want it visible

I feel (and I've met several players who agree) that sprites are visually confusing. They are visual noise, that makes distinguishing comrades from enemies harder. If this is the original poster's concern, then Ubergoose-Alt's advice applies. If the original poster is not upset by the visual noise, then certainly Kickthebucket's advice is worth following, just for the sprite perks.

I rarely use my sprite. The perk is useful, though.

Well I did for two years...but I don't see any reason not to now. Even if I turned off the perks and never used it, it's still neat looking.
