Attention Knights!! Important Broadcast From Spiral HQ!!
................................................................................

Spiral scientists have finally opened the core only to find something they never imagined! A much more sinister version of the clockworks which rotates in complete reverse! The brains of Spiral HQ have determined that the core was actually housing the connection to another dimension and that the alternate side of the clockworks has been influenced by a very powerful force which has lead to it's corruption.

We have already established a foothold on the front lines ensuring save passage to this new world. It is our obligation to explore these new clockworks to further research the connection and how the planets influence each other. Simultaneously, all of our most seasoned knights have been granted access for the purpose of investigating this corruption and hopefully finding a source. Safety for spiral scientists conducting their research must be insured if we are to succeed!!

Godspeed knights and may our victory bring us all home!

~~~The core which is the mysterious power giving life to the clockworks has been opened! Some thought it is was ancient power source lost to the ages waiting to be rediscovered while others thought it was a prison for a powerful otherworldly being... Who knew it would be something much more... well... weird!!~~~
Although Shadow Lairs are sort of the boss strata version of this. I wouldn't mind some sinister t3.5 clockwork tunnels areas though.
If you look at the gate map,
If you look at the gate map, clockworks can rotate in both directions already :P
Look at the arrows.
So... wich one is reverse? And why is it special?
All observable Clockworks Trays rotate in a Clockwise direction. This is possibly due to the graphical designers saving time by copy+pasting the shaft model.
The explanation for the "reverse cycling" clockworks trays is that some trays likely cycle faster than others, so when standing on a fast cycling tray, the slow cycling tray below you looks like it's going in reverse.
Do any depth 1, 5, 9, 14, 19 or 24 trays cycle to the left? I'd like to know if my theory regarding Lobbies and Terminals to be a non-rotating section of the shaft still holds up when used in conjunction with this theory.
The Core is a prison for a powerful creature.
Your suggestion destroyed the story line.
@Suggestion
This sounds more like an announcement or an advertisement rather than a suggestion... O_O
@Skye
Can't you tell he is suggesting that inside the core is a reverse clockworks? He is just doing it in a more fun manner.
