I always use a pill if I have 3 because chances are I'll find another one if I let myself die.

I die, than I use pills, that simple, and with no hassle too.
It's saves time, and you could be poisoned.

because if you keep emergency revive at the end of the level you get healed to max red bars

Health capsules
Why? I find three use when i'm low or if I make to the elevator with a em. Rev i just hold my three health capsules.

I tend to use pills first out of habit. I used to tell myself a lot that a pill was worth less than a 10 energy rev. Of course this is different now, but the habit is still there.

Depends, if I see a extra pill in the floor I would use it before the extra revive.

It depends on the following
It depends on the following factors:
* Try conserve health pills for next levels. So use your revive when you can to get a full heal.
* Try to optimize the healing from your free revive by getting vitapods first.
* Avoid using additional revives. If the content is hard use pills before revive.
Is there a next level?
- no : eat pills whenever needed
- yes :
-- Do I have more pills than I can carry?
--- yes : eat pills whenever needed
-- Do I have a vitapod?
--- not yet : Try to wait for one before reviving, use pills for now.
--- yes : Am I missing a lot of health?
---- no : use pills to heal.
---- yes : wait for revive to optimize its use.
I would rather use my emergency revive first than use pills because you could be at the end of the level and you could go down with 1% health from using 3 pills but using your emergency revive gives you a max of 30 bars.
