A small counter above the shield meter that shows how many sparks you have. Simple as that.

PS: Are we cannibals, picking up other knights' hearts and eating them to revive ourselves? o.O

Sure why not. I get you could just check your inventory but there is no real issue for adding this.

I would put it to the side of the Emergency Revive myself. Or hide it behind the Emergency Revive, so that you can only know your number of sparks after you've already used your complimentary one, to be extra devious.

And no, cannibalism requires consuming those of your own species. And barring a twist of shyamalan-ian proportions, I doubt that we - Spirilians - are related to any of the fauna of Cradle. (Though a simple attempt at mating could dispel any and all rumours with finality.)
And if you are referring to the Sparks of Life instead of those pulsating hearts that spew from our slain foes then the answer is still no. The Sparks are merely charges of energy that happen to look like the power sources within our own furnaces. Nothing more.

Yeah, I guess that's where it would fit.
About the SoL: Say that to the meat on the background, how the heart pulses, and the old non-Spark revives.

If what you are suggesting is true then it seems that instead of using sparks of life to reinvigorate our own hearts/furnaces/reactors, we just simply pop out our burned out spark (burnt out from the emergency revive, perhaps?) and pop in the new one. Probably automated to some degree as well.

What's the point of this? you can see how many you have when you die, or just open your inventory. Is it really that crucial to know every second?

It's basically along the same lines as always having your CE and Crown totals displayed. Actually, it's EXACTLY the same reason as only displaying your CE/Crowns when you actually need to see them.

Batabii, as an advanced player I don't have any reason to suggest this, but as OOO recently did, I tried to aim at the starters. Some people won't go down a certain depth if they think their spark amount is too low. Plus, opening the Inventory screenfreezes me and some other people for 2+ seconds. Also, what Ghret said.

Id prefer not having to look

Id prefer not having to look at that. Maybe if it only showed up when dead...

"Some people won't go down a certain depth if they think their spark amount is too low."

Free elevators. You might not finish the mission, but play until you die. Just saying..

Also just because you're dead doesn't mean you have to leave. You get a free revive next floor.

Besides, how many people have to second-guess if they have enough sparks? There's no reason you should ever drop below 10, let alone 3.

until reach that optional part of the arena....

You know, the one with the shocking zubats that use Leech Life til you're dead...

Make the counter optional in the GUI.

Can everyone in the party see how many sparks you have?

If that's a yes, then +1
If that's a no, then -1
