When I DC the worst part is that is takes anywhere from 30-60 seconds before the game realizes that maybe it's a good idea to return my game to the log in screen.
If people DC don't make them wait all day when they can simply log back in once on the character selection screen.
Return players to character selection after DC.

Analyze.
If it brings back to the Knight Selection it means you're still connected.
It you press the Login button, It says Logging in and redirects you to the character selection, when you are redirected, you are connected.

As much as I'd like this even though it only save me 5-10 seconds, I don't think there's really any way around it like these guys are saying.

There are reasons why it brings you to the login screen after DC.
