I was on Arcade and saw a knight with a hallow costume armor that had wings and an aura, and he was full 5*
But he wasn't a Vanguard, he was a Knight, not even Knight Elite, just Knight

The Storm Newb of the FSC
When I tried farming FSC (and failed out of boredom) I saw an apprentice as the party leader. Wielding a Storm Driver...
I already know how this was pulled off but, it was one heck of a odd find.

The knight you saw most likely joined SK before the mission system was introduced.
Hence, full 5* with no rank.

I stopped playing the game in
I stopped playing the game in Jan 2012, so when I came back I was full 4* gear well on my way to 5*, without having done any missions.

I also remember the old UI.
So, uh, yes, either he farmed up 5* gear before proceeding with missions, but before the Battle Sprite update, or he's a really old player.
