If you are not careful, slime types can be a bit annoying. Especially with silkwings and menders.
EDIT: They just take long to kill because they heal for quite a bit

Why is this even a thread. I don't see any discussion, general or otherwise. The post is just lots of words.
Toxoils aren't too bad, having run Compound 42 a few times for practice today, I find that the secret is to prioritize your targets. Polyps need to die IMMEDIATELY or they'll spawn an endless wave of Toxoilers.
To me, Quicksilvers are the worst ones since they can randomly short out and go berserk.
When did you turn danger mission pro in one day? As I recall, you just completed your first danger mission yesterday and you said GITM is hard?!
Didn't say I turned pro, I said I've been practicing Compound 42 for a good 4 hours today and I'm getting better at it. I learned that Polyps are the biggest threat and that careful target prioritization is necessary for survival.
@Murrdurrface Just found out Polyps are the biggest threat? XD. Just telling ya, legion of almire is gonna be easy, but heart of ice is just another story. Have fun trying to fight off trojans and fiends in HoI!
When they spawn Toxoilers and hog the room with toxic thorns, yeah, they suck, big time. They have to die first or you'll inevitably get overwhelmed by everything else.
I probably won't ever touch HoI. I'm probably the only one that struggles with them, but I. HATE. GREAVERS!!!
Heart of Ice eats up all my little, glowing blue heart things that revive me and I can't remember the name of.
Actually fairly simple: Back into a corner, and when they come at you, slash once with a sword. They will be interrupted. Rinse; repeat. Now, Gorgos are a different beast. They can go [Bucket] themselves.
As for this thread, Annilaton, you need to stop with stuff like this. A danger mission discussion thread is fine, but ask a question instead of making a statement about the upcoming mission. It doesn't foster discussion, it just makes people criticize.
Fine challenge accepted. Here's a question that will get your minds rolling: What would you want to do first if you reached the last wave of the last arena in the Legion of Almire?
It wouldn't hurt to mention that you edited the title in the first post, so the start of this thread doesn't seem strange.
And my solution to fiends is grab your hammer, and get a fiend bonus from somewhere. That dash deals a fair amount of damage too, and the first swing has a large swing radius. Fiends are annoying, but are easily interrupted.
What would I want to do first? I'd imagine taking out the first giant almirian undead knight is high on my list. Shivermist is always a good option to immobilize them if you have a bomber with you. If not, someone carrying a WRH does a great deal of damage, and if you can pair that with caustic quills from a Maskeraith, you also halve the damage being done to you by those devious charge attacks.
I'll continue with another discussion question regarding danger missions:
Why do you suppose Maulos is so much easier than the rest of the danger mission? He is essentially a miniature Vanaduke, only infinitely easier, weak to blitz needles and DBB. What would be the best way to increase the overall difficulty of Maulos, without simply increasing his health?
Considering my question: I would think to use a powerful Fang of Vog charge to kill the Almirian Guards first instantly. Then just finish off the annoying healers.
Also, Perronius, thank you for your question: I would think to make him attack faster, increase his HP and make him move around. But that is hard, because his attacks cause a stream of ice, so he can't move anyway. XD Even though the Big Iron can't move, it is infinitely much more OP than Maulos, mainly due to the fact of the many lasers, the deadly tentacles to knock you into the lasers, and the cruel and wicked spawners that I really hate. Did I mention the Big Iron has 4 GIGANTIC ROTATING ORBS?! As well as a small time window. For a first timer, one would die easily. I could only solo that boss these days is because of practice practice practice.
Also, 2 very mean and epic tricks for the Big Iron boss battle:
*Standing in one of the corners of the area will ensure no tentacles attacking you AT ALL.
*Once the spawner spawns a scuttler and a scuttler ONLY, push them into the above section in a tangle of wires and stuff, and they won't move ever again.
A small tip: Blitz actually does normal dmg against the Big Iron. Easy KO.
Still waiting for more Danger Missions since 1,5 years...
Heart of Ice on Elite Mode is the most challenge thing that you will find about danger missions.
