For example, "General Discussion" could be renamed to "Haven Town Square" or just "Town Square". It's a little tidbit that's easy to make, doesn't require a client update, and adds personal gaming touch to the forums.

Rename "New Recruits" to "Training Hall".
Rename "Wiki Editors" to something like "Manor's Libraries" or "Moorcraft's Records" or something.
Probably there's some witty thing I won't come up with until I'm about to fall asleep.

There's a limit to how catchy and funny you can be without infringing on clarity of functional items. Don't cross it.
