Fire Lumbers make sense to me now!

I read a little thing on the internet (forgot where it was) about Eucalyptus trees using their oils and hot weather to set other plants on fire, to prevent them from drinking their water. Meanwhile, the Eucalyptus trees' wood is so fire retardant it can ignore its own blazes. Maybe that's how Redwards work.

Now, if only we knew how Silversaps and Electreants work..... Kinda ironic considering Fire Lumbers seem to make the least sense because fire and wood normally don't mix.

I have no mouth and I need to scream

Nobody likes getting hit in the face with wood.

Especially by silversaps.

This would explain the Lumbers...

But what about that legion of Gremlins and other Constructs along with them? Wouldn't the Redwards light them all on fire so nothing else could kill the knights but the Redwards themselves?

Why in the world would redwards kill their friends? And besides, gremmies are resistant to elemental.

And they resist fire.

Lets look at it this way!

@Annilaton Why would they kill their friends? Why not? I don't know about you, but I've seen Lumbers trashing around their buddies before like they were nothing. Oh, a bunch of the Gremlins who brought me to life are in the way of a knight? SMASH! As for that elemental resistance, those Gremlins sure are lucky to have it now aren't they?

And @Sandwich-Potato, they may resist fire but they aren't immune.

I think I had better leave before this thread becomes an argument...

"Oh look, I was saved from near-death by this nice Mender, who casted a Rune right under me! Thank you so much, I owe you my life. Hey the knight is next to you die smash oops I squashed you."

~Every Lumber ever.

Well, Lumbers are part metal, so that could account for Electreants. In addition, Hexzyle answered how Silversaps worked in his "Not Magic" thread; I believe it was something about crystal bonding that immobilized the knights?

I have no clue why people complain about shock when going solo in an ice maul fiend arena with a PMoS and no other frezze resistance. /shudder

Because you can't do anything while spasming, while if Frozen you can block or use a Sprite. It's a key flaw of Sleep.

Straight-Line
Not science!

Whoever coded Spiral Knights made it so that enemies can't attack each other (acception of rocket puppy rockets) The frames of fire are strange, you walk at just the right time fire just grazes you, the point of view (camera) makes it look like you passed through fire without any fire resistance.
