Hey guys, I've been trying to get spiral spy working in linux because windows is laggy as heck. Anyway, my install location was /home/[user]/spiral and for some odd reason it was owned by root, nothing chown couldn't fix. Ok, so I took ownership of the directory and plopped spiral spy into the folder and tried to open it...but it said to place spiral spy in the spiral knights directory -.-. Looking over the instructions posted on the spiral spy website, I noticed that his instructions had /home/[user]/.getdown/spiral so I made .getdown and placed spiral into it, tried again, and got the same message.
Anyway, do any of you know how to get this working properly? I have a video idea that I want to make that can have actual visual quality.
I have a script, I'll get it for you in 2 hrs or so when I get access to my computer.
edit:
You're pretty close already
the spiralspy_v#.jar is already in your spiral folder, correct?
make a feil on your desktop (or wherever you want)
name it "spiralspy.sh"
put the following inside, and run it after you save
cd ~/(Directory Path)
java -jar spiralspy-1.3.jar
for example for me (12.04 Ubuntu)
cd ~/.getdown/spiral
java -jar spiralspy-1.3.jar
