Derp, because I feel like it

these will appear at the end of the 3rd arena of the approprate family type either instead of the giant wave or after it (i.e. beast always will always have King Chroma)

if no status in the arena, the status they deal is stun

King Chroma

King Chroma is just basicly a giant Chromalisk

Attacks

All Tiers - Lick: This sends a giant tounge across the screen which damages players, not only that, in T2-3, if it touches a player, that player will stick to it and be aten by King Chroma. While aten by him, the knight recieves damage 5-8 times (depends on the tier) and King Chroma gets healed every time it damages the knight along with dealing the correct status, before spitting the knight out. The knight can not do anything while aten by King Chroma but can be freed early if King Chroma takes enough damage. King Chroma will be limited on what it can do while eating a knight.

All Tiers - Spit: This sends a giant blob that deals a status effect and damages players. In T2-3, it also sends out sub blobs in amounts of 10-20 (depends on the tier)

Tier 2-3 - Eat: If a knight goes close enough to King Chroma, he will directly eat the player. This attack has low warning time (very low in T3) so be careful. Basicly, this deals no to very little damage but eats the knight (see lick)

All Tiers - Tail whip: This is anouther melee attack, if a knight gets close, it will whip it's tail around at the knight to damage it and knock it back, however, this can also be used while King Chroma is eating a knight.

All Tiers - Complete Camo: King Chroma will go completely invisible, with no clue indacating where he is

All Tiers - Leap: Apon taking 5 hits in rapid succession, King Chroma will jump to a random empty spot in the arena, avoiding all damage as he is in the air. (should change the arena tiles there to some special tile which will be the only tile King Chroma can land on to avoid him jumping out of the arena) If no space big enough to land is present, King Chroma will (somehow) stay in the air until one appears. Leapin' Lizards!

Lichen Lord (in case your wondering, I did copy this name from anouther suggestion)

Lichen Lord is a giant Lichen with arms

It also has the abilitys of a giant colony Lichen

All Tiers - Jump: The Lichen Lord jumps into the air preparing to land on knights and deal damage. In T2-3, a thorn roots attack will automaticly happen when landing

All Tiers - Small split: The Lichen Lord spits out a peice of jelly, which becomes a lichen. The amount increases with the tier.

All Tiers - Punch: The Lichen Lord punches, nothing too special here, other then a good amount of knockback

All Tiers - Slam: The Lichen Lord slams his arms on the ground, which stuns nearby players

Tier 2-3 - Spin: This attack is the same as JK's spin attack, except that it also uses it's arms to damage knights. In Tier 3, it will also form a tornado that will slowly suck knights in.

Tier 3 - Mist: Every once in a while, Lichen Lord will leave a status effect mist behind

Battlepod

Undead Boss (name to be added)

Diamond Greaver

The Diamond Greaver is a little bigger then a regular greaver, and white and shiny, with a tint of a color depending on the status, (none if no status) it's also very quick and prefers to move to the sides constantly, making close blitz really hard to do. The Diamond Greaver will generally move around in a circle but go in anouther direction if it needs to

All Tiers - Bullet: This shoots 2 bullets ahead diagonally in tier 1, in Tier 2 it will also shoot diagonal bullets behind too like normal, and in tier 3 will shoot in all 8 directions. This attack does not stop movement or have to be triggered by a dive attack

Tier 2-3 - Haze: This leaves a haze behind like a normal greaver, however, this attack does not have to be triggered by a dive attack either or stop movement

All Tiers - Super dive: The diamond greaver leaps across the screen damaging everything in it's way, it's warning does not stop movement

Tier 3 - Fly bomb: DG flys into the air and goes across the screen sevral times, dropping shadow bombs as it goes.

despite being in the construct family, battlepods don't have their resistances, so double klip's post and read battlepod instead of king chroma.

Also, battlepods are boring. A knight has no control over a battlepod fight, because everything is timed. That and they only have one or two attacks. If you're gonna put in a construct miniboss, I would be happy with something more like the Collector.

@Trats a pure swordman will be able to kill King Chroma, all melee attacks are not instant and can be easily dodged by moving out of the way

@Klipik The wild King Chroma uses eat

Klipik is unable to finish his charge and takes damage, while King Chroma heals

@Thunder ever played Mount Krampus?

@Klipik2 I might replace it with something else...

yes, I died much at the second arena and I quitted, never arrived at the end. all I know is that when the battlepod is unshielded, it doesn't attack (except 2 in the seerus fight) and that arenas don't have respawning enemies.

@Thunder at the end of Mount Krampus, is a battlepod, the fight is probally more annoying then, anything I can come up with, you are being constantly bombarded by lots of respawning enemies and are forced to use a lot of sparks as you slowly deal damage to it

There's also a battle pod on the third battle, but you don't (and can't) kill it, it's just there to deal damage as you fight

btw, ideas for the gremlin and undead boss are up for suggestions

Cool challenges! I would like to see (typing) your diamond greaver one.

The Lichen Lord's small spit, would there be possibilities for more giant lichen colonies out of this attack?

Would the gremlin boos be the one from Compound 42, the Gremlin Incinerator or a different one?

as for SSII, never heard of it

maybe I'm going to use the name of my increadibly bad first suggestion's boss name as my undead mini-boss name :P (spoiler alert: his name is techbeard, and now that I go back to it, meh, only half bad, would probally need editing to be perfect)

It's too bad that a gunner stays far away. Also, CTR Max on a Blitz Needle is, I think, less than a second, and instantly demolishes Constructs. Adios, King Chroma.

SSII is Swift Steps II, which grants MSI Medium, which is a lot more significant than most think. The MSI Buff Orb is around MSI Max. The set I described gives MSI VH.

@Sandwich but a blitz attack will disallow moving, granting King Chroma the ability of eating the player easily, and a blitzer would usally go as close as possible to a enemy to attack and not stay away

did you not notice that King Chroma has ranged attacks too?

I also mentioned ASI max, so the person will kill King Chroma in one blast, before said Chroma can finish telegraphing his ranged attack.

@Straight yes for the lichen question and no for the gremlin

I might add lichens recombining with LL to heal him for more challenge...

And a good gunner always remembers where his enemies are. Plus with good ASI, the Blitzer will be able to finish the charge, have time to bake a pizza, and take a good hot bath.

Look, a Blitzer can destroy a RETRODE with one charge. Constructs resist Piercing; Beasts are weak to it. How much health will King Chroma have? Cuz a group of Blitzers can kill Vanaduke in less than a minute.

@Sandwich eat interuppts the charge completly and can eat multiple knights. (I didn't mention that because I thought it might be a little obvious, but maybe not) Also, it won't be possible to know where he is or damage him when complete camo, the bullets will go right through him and the mini-map sprite will disappear until he reappears

That makes no sense, and is completely ridiculous. What if he's marked by a Hexing Haze? What, he takes no damage?

I said they FINISH the charge before he eats them, not do most of it. And the Blitz Needle will easily shred anything with less than 10000 health in half a minute. Now think about 4.

Well, you try making something to avoid making Blitz op against him

besides, it will have a very long cooldown but will be used instantly no matter the cooldown that is left if hit by blitz

maybe I should make it so it heals 5/6 of the damage a non-charged blitz does to him when he eats

Blitz is there for lag compensation... I hope

Because the blitz is easier to design around. A slow moving long timed weapon is easier to predict in a variable lag environment. Weapons with fast timing that kill you when timed wrong will suck due to lag. Last thing we need is "I can't use this fast gun because enemies hit me by the time I use it, but it's required for the boss." OOO designing around blitz gives more leeway by slowing down enemy timing and still having them hit you. In that regard having google fiber instead of comcraptic will matter less.

Damage is always a relative thing. 3O could always bump up the boss's hp or modify how much it resists pierce. There's more fine grained control that 3O has than people take for granted even after the damage output is known.

Think of the children!

This sounds like a monster update that could introduce another horrible monster (like the mini and gorgo update). But since it would be only one monster in the final phase (I assume) it would be fair provided these aren't tortodrone tier monsters.

While new monsters would be appreciated by the much older knightss I don't think the newer knights would be all that prepared for such monsters. In order to keep it fair for the new players only have the boss monsters show up in arenas at Depth 7 (the last floor on T1). This would give them ample time to gather pickups and vitapods, not to mention it would help weed out the less skilled or less powerful players.

Not really.

Early players usually are intimidated by arenas. If they want to play through the whole level, then they should be prepared for the fight that goes into it.
