Believe it or not this idea came to me in a dream.
In order to avoid confusion when bombing without the charge meter while other players are using charge attacks in close proximity, make the charge color reflect our personal color. This applies outside of bombing too, but you have to charge to bomb so it's a good example.
Or... to avoid confusion when charging while others nearby are charging also, just use the charge meter! Or if your idea gets implemented, I think we should be able to toggle it on or off. We would also need a third option just in case people don't like the charge meter or the prismatic charge. And then we would need a fourth option juuuuuuuuuuuust in case people don't like the previous three!
Also I hear that Warframe has something similar to what you just suggested.

Neat idea, a small one at that. Seems like it would be a welcome change.
we could make some explosions and mist bomb's center prismatic too, for LD sake. so someone can he happy in there before raging again.
