Could we have a way of posting a "WTB" request on the auction house, which allows players to fullfill a posted request?
Say you needed a particular 5 star recipe that wasn't available.
You would start a new buy posting by navigating through some categories or typing in the name of the item.
Once you have the item selected, you can set a price that you will instantly buy an item for (optional), as well as a higher price that you'll accept, but not without a timer and some competition on how low people are willing to go.
Your instant purchase price could be set at say, 26K, while the initial maximum price you're willing to pay could be 40K.
The first person to fulfill the request could press 'Sell Now (26,000cr)' or 'Place Offer (40,000cr)'
Another person could come along and say "40K? I'm willing to post an offer to sell these for 35K" and then can lower it as such.
This could also be used for bulk purchases.
Say someone wanted to buy 1000 vile seals, they could post a request for 1000 of them at 80cr a unit, and other players would be able to sell them in any quantity, which would subtract from the total demand for 1000 seals.
We never ever see reverse auctions like these because in cases like this, supply will never meet demand. We can't see ourselves to have an endless demand, only to be met by reluctant traders who refuse to fulfill the requests. Auctions are possible because of the limited supply that comes with it, only to have the items' value judged by the demand of the market.
The other problem is the deterrence for "spam" trades. If you put an auction, ya have to pay a bid fee, ya see. What would you determine to be a very reasonable levy?
