Brothers of Eternity event thread! (Next event: Reopening [March 7])

Hello hello! This thread is for various events and stuff that my guild will be hosting. These events will have various goodies, lotteries, and the such. While it technically isn't my role (I should be in the coliseum!), I'll be hosting a few events to kick things off.

Terms:

  • Lottery: Random drawing of names using random.org's list randomizer. If there are several prizes, the first winner will get a choice from the prizes, and then another name will be drawn. (The winner's name is taken out of the pool.) Names will continue to be drawn until the prize pool is empty. There is no entry fee. UPDATE: Atleast two names will always be drawn. Trick or Treat Confetti will be used to determine the winner. More info at the event.
  • More will be added as we create more events!

Also, a few notes...

  1. All times are game time, AKA Pacific Time. (PST)
  2. ANYONE may participate. While I ask our own members to help us in hosting these events, it isn't required. HOWEVER, please note that being a member doesn't mean your chances of winning are any higher than non-members.
  3. Anyone caught cheating (one way or another) will receive a swift kick and will be banned from the current event, others like it, and/or every event after, depending on the severity of the offense.
  4. As usual, please DON'T break the ToS. It makes the snipes sad.

Upcoming events

  • Grand Reopening!
    • What: After year (give or take a few months) of hibernation, Brothers of Eternity is starting up again at long last! This event is to commemorate the beginning of all the things we hope to do for Spiral Knights community. I will hold a short speech ('short' as in shorty-short), followed by a lottery. (Prizes: 750 Energy OR Toasty Maedate) In addition, the Dreamers' Cove will be opening! Yes, I'm being cryptic for a reason.
    • Where: Brothers of Eternity Guild hall
    • When: The 7th of March at 6:00 PM

This is both a bump and a little something.

I've just changed the prize listing to say 'TBD'. Originally I was going to put a Toasty Maedate there. However, upon looking it up on the Auction House, those things are dirt cheap! I was upset, to say the least...when I got that thing a long time ago, and it cost around 30k crowns or so. I never used it and thought it would be the perfect thing for this! I'll try to find something else ASAP, but if I can't do it I'll have to bump this event back until then or come up with something else.

Does the lottery cost anything for entry, and if so, who do we pay?

Couldn't agree more.

I updated the OP. No, there is no fee aside from participation!

Oh, and I hate to say this, but I've had to move the event to be 2 weeks later. I'll be having relatives coming over this weekend, and February 21st (The day of their arrival, although they would arrive hours after the event) will be very very busy for me. When I set the date for this (which was a few weeks back), I didn't know about this. I would do it the Friday after that, but the problem is that that day happens to be test day. *Shrugs*

I might be able to do it on the Saterday after. However, since its uncertain, (Even that may be busy) I decided to say March 7th. Changing dates is a bad thing and it's best to keep consistent as often as possible. So I just set a day which I KNOW we can do, even if it means we have to wait longer... (Checks calendar...nope, not March yet! ...Checks it again...)

Bump on the day of! I really meant to do this sooner, but meh...

Anyway, the event will be happening at 6 PM PST! Yes, a half of an hour later than before. I'm busy today so I've needed to push it back a tensy bit.

Also, an half an hour to an hour before hand me and/or a guild member will be putting up notices in the Zone Chat in Populated Havens. (That is, ones with 3 red dots.) I'll make sure that these are separated by 10-15 minutes, because I want to get the word out without being obtrusive. You're welcome. ;)
