So, what's up with this lag?

Before I start, I want to say I haven't touched Spiral Knights for a few months. Back then, I played Spiral Knights and it ran just fine for me. Didn't experience any framerate problems, except when one of my friends was in my party who had a worse connection, but that's besides the point.

I've tried logging into Spiral Knights again recently in the past few days. Y'know, just wanna catch up, maybe get back into it. But the framerate is HORRIBLE. I feel like I'm watching a slideshow. IN THE READY ROOM! There shouldn't be lag in the READY ROOM!

So, my question is does anyone know what's up with this lag? Exactly 3 things have changed since the last time I played Spiral Knights.

1. I got a new video card for Christmas. It's better and can run Direct X11. I got it specifically so I could finally touch my Lost Planet 2 game that's been collecting dust ever since I purchased it 2 years ago because my old video card wouldn't work for it. But, yeah. I can play Lost Planet 2 with this card. I can't see this being an issue with SK.

2. We've got a new router. The old router started dying and putting out a weaker signal I couldn't connect to anymore, so we got a new one. I'm connected to it right now. The signal strength is excellent. I can't imagine this being an issue either (but I list it anyway in case it actually is).

3. Spiral Knights updated one or two times. I peg one of these updates as the likely suspect messing something up with the game because, again, I don't see any immediate reason to suspect the other two changes because they were both entirely positive (but I'm open to being proven wrong).

Furthermore, is it just me or does anyone else have this problem?
